1 ~ '-C-~-- ~ ~ RESOLUTION FILED DEC ~.Jk!durv CHAMPAIGN COUNTY CLERI( WHEREAS, the BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT NO. 505 (PARKLAND COLLEGE) COUNTIES OF CHAMPAIGN, COLES, DEWITT, DOUGLAS, EDGAR, FORD, IROQUOIS, LIVINGSTON, MCLEAN, MOULTRIE, PIATT, VERMILION AND STATE OF ILLINOIS caused to be prepared in tentative form a Budget, and the Secretary ofthis Board has made the same conveniently available to public inspection for at least thirty (30) days prior to final action thereof; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held as to such Budget on the 19th day ofseptember, 2007, notice ofsaid hearing was given at least thirty (30) days prior thereto as required by law, and all other legal requirements have been complied with; and WHEREAS, said Budget was duly and properly passed by said Board oftrustees on September 19, 2007; and WHEREAS, this Board oftrustees now desires to adopt and pass said 2007 tax levy. The proposed corporate and special purpose property taxes to be levied for 2007 are Twenty Million Eight Hundred One Thousand Dollars ($20,801,000). This represents an eight and ninety eight hundreds percent (8.98%) increase over the previous year. IV. The total property taxes extended for 2006 were Nineteen Million Eighty Six Thousand Six Hundred Ninety Six Dollars ($19,086,696).
