1 Daily Market Insights 11 th April 2017 Market Snippet S`4321 Benchmark indices traded lower on the very first trading session of the week to end in red of ahead of key economic data to be announced on Wednesday of IIP and Inflation. Domestic sentiment was also hit as Asian stocks slipped as increased geopolitical risks prompted investors to favor safe-haven bets such as government debt while the dollar drew support from Federal Reserve policy tightening expectations. Nifty ended the than session to close at 9209.Media and Metal stock stocks were the major gainers of the day while IT and Reality stocks were the losers for the day. Global Markets Update Britain's automotive industry body defended diesel cars on Monday, as the government prepares to announce proposals for improving air quality which could follow London in making it more expensive to use the most polluting vehicles. Reliance Power has executed project agreements with BPDB for phase-i of 750 MW LNG based Combined cycle power project at Meghnaghat, near Dhaka in Bangladesh, which includes Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and Implementation Agreement (IA). Global Markets Japan's Nikkei share average rose on Monday as comments from a U.S. central banker lifted the dollar against the yen, bolstering exporter stocks, while rising U.S. yields helped financial stocks outperform. Australia stocks were higher as gains in the Metals & Mining, Resources and Materials sectors led shares higher. Taiwan stocks were higher as gains in the Oil, Gas & Electricity, Plastic and Iron & Steel sectors led shares higher.
