2 Implementation Status and Key Decisions The project was signed in February 2014, and it became effective on September 19, The LISUNGI team has been working since then on setting up the social safety nets system in the country through this project. As of today, the Government has set up the Inter-sectoral Steering Committee (COS) that oversees project implementation and the LISUNGI team has finalized and validated the Program Operations Manual at the COS meeting on November 14th. The identification of potential beneficiaries were concluded in all three regions of the country the project is operating (Pointe Noire, Brazzaville and Cuvette). All staff positions were filled up and project implementation continues to increase. Already, 10,751 poor households have been identified and enrolled in the social registry, 8,024 have completed and verified information that can be used for all social programs that aims to target the poor and 3,764 are already receiving regular cash transfers throught LISUNGI. The Social Registry under development with a dedicated team working on it is expected to be expended with the coordination between LISUNGI and PDESS projects. The Social Registry is expected to be linked and synchronized with health project to the provision of health services for the poor population in addition to cash transfers in selected areas.
