CONSIDERATION OF COMMUNICATIONS POLICY: The Board requested that the draft Communications Policy be revised as an Administrative Guideline and requested that Fund staff work with the Fund s attorney and Trustee Summers to revise

DISCUSSION OF BENEFITS PROVIDED TO MEMBERS UNDER THE PUBLIC SAFETY ACT (PSEBA): The Board reviewed a request from Local 2 and discussed various opportunities for communications with members regarding PCEBA such at time of disability grant further review is necessary to determine what involvement, if any the Fund will regarding this program. Trustees concurred with Fund Counsel s recommendation that a letter, written by Local 2 on Local 2 stationary, addressing the existence of PSEBA benefits would be distributed to members granted disability benefits along with other information provided at the time of grant. 4. HEARINGS: DUTY DISABILITY APPLICATIONS: The Secretary presented the application for duty disability benefits made to and sworn by: RONALD L CLARK, FIRE ENGINEER, ENGINE 129 And witnessed in the office of the Fund, accompanied by staff accountant's letter as to amounts and all necessary records. After review of the relevant records by the Board and its Physician, a hearing having been held and after due deliberation, on motion of Martin, second by McPhillips to grant duty disability benefits. The vote was: By roll call vote duty disability benefits were granted pursuant to Illinois Compiled Statutes, 40 ILCS 5/6-151 and the express findings of the Board, in the amount of $6, a month AND $30.00 a month each for minor children Shayna and summer, beginning January 24, Not Present: Fortuna, Summers, Wadawsky On motion of Martin, second by Mendoza to request Continued Case Management and schedule a reexamination of Mr. Clarks disability status in 6 months.
