2 REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING NO TUESDAY, JUNE 1, 2010 MINUTES RES#117/ (Wiebe/Chillog) SPECIAL EVENT PERMIT/PRAIRIE OUTLAWS SENIOR HOCKEY TEAM: That we grant a Special Event Permit to the Prairie Outlaws Senior Hockey Team for a Slo Pitch Tournament Fundraiser to be held June 12, 2010 at the Kinsmen Park Ball Diamonds, in accordance with their application as attached hereto and forming part of these minutes. RES#118/ (Hetterly/Wiebe) SPECIAL EVENT PERMIT/BATZ SLO-PITCH TEAM: That we grant a Special Event Permit to the Batz Slo-Pitch Team for a Slo Pitch Tournament to be held June 18, 19, & 20, 2010 at the Kinsmen Park Ball Diamonds, in accordance with their application as attached hereto and forming part of these minutes. RES#119/ (Wiebe/Hetterly) SASKATOON DISTRICT BOARD OF REVISION APPOINTMENTS: That the following appointments be made to the Saskatoon District Board of Revision: Gord Krismer Reg Skinner Brian Lynch Murray Hovland Terry Zborowski Secretary: Christina Krismer Remuneration: Full Panel (3 members) Single Panel Chair $ per day plus GST $ per day plus GST A day is considered to be 5 to 9 hours 3 to 5 hours is considered ½ day All hours in excess of 9 will be charged at $40 per hour per panel member The minimum fee for any hearing is $100 per panel member Meals - $40 per day (b $7, d $13, s $20) per panel member Hotels - actual and reasonable Mileage -.40 per km (all members are from Regina, therefore, only one vehicle will be required) Travel time - $12 per hour per panel member Written decisions - $30 for residential appeals and a minimum of $50 for commercial appeals (dependent upon complexity) Secretarial Services - $20 per hour plus related costs (postage, etc.)
3 REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING NO TUESDAY, JUNE 1, 2010 MINUTES RES#120/ (Dyck/Hetterly) BYLAW NO (FIRST READING) That Bylaw , being a Bylaw of the City of Martensville to amend the Economic Development Tax Exemption Bylaw No , be read for the first time. RES#121/ (Hetterly/Wiebe) BYLAW NO (SECOND READING) That we read Bylaw No for the second time. RES#122/ (Wiebe/Hetterly) BYLAW NO (THREE READINGS) That we give Bylaw No three readings at this meeting. UNANIMOUSLY RES#123/ (Wiebe/Hetterly) BYLAW NO (THIRD AND FINAL READING) That Bylaw , being a Bylaw of the City of Martensville to amend the Economic Development Tax Exemption Bylaw No , be read for a third and final time. DISCUSSION ITEMS: Cemetery Hilton Council agreed to invite Rob Hilton to bring forth design concepts for the proposed Martensville Cemetery. Council would also like Mr. Hilton to be present and to answer questions and gather feedback from the general public during a public forum evening. Council asked administration to determine the date for a public forum scheduled to be set for early fall Preliminary designs will be presented to Council for review before the public forum Connections Council discussed the proposed options to connect 4 th Street South, Rock Hill Lane and Reimer Road to the 3053 grid. Council advised administration to utilize the option that has longer culverts with trees and shrubs to be used for landscaping adjacent to the roadway and on top of the culvert area. Estimated costs for this project are $134,
