1 Labor Wage Scale How to read the following table: The figures presented are hourly pay rates (in dollars and cents) for a particular position. For each position, members were asked to report the minimum, maximum, and average rates separately. Based on the information provided, the minimum, maximum, and mean were calculated; thus, there are nine lines for each position. The columns present hourly pay rate according to (a) whether the reporting company is union or non-union, (b) the district in which the reporting company is located, and (c) the overall amounts for all companies reporting a particular position ( Total). Accordingly, looking at the fifth line below, the maximum hourly pay for Heat Treat Group Leader in union companies is $ Companies located in Region MW, for example, pay a maximum hourly rate of $27.85 for this position. Lastly, regardless of whether the reporting company is union or non-union and regardless of what district it is in, the maximum pay is $ Due to the low number of members participating, in many instances the most reliable figure to use is the Total.
