Over the past 4 months I ve been observing and assessing clues from the interaction between the 1 Hour Intraday Chart, Daily Chart and Weekly Chart This presentation highlights the clues these observations revealed that can discovered during non-market hours. 4 Intraday Charts an Advent of the Computer Age Intraday Charts a blessing and a curse for traders thanks to the availability of Streaming Quotes Blessing: - If used correctly with an understanding of what trading period different intraday timeframes relate to. - Shows hidden levels of support and resistance. - More timely Action Point Triggers - Don t need to be watching all day to benefit! 5 What are the Trading Time Horizon is best? Minute Charts: Best suited for trades of very short duration. a. Scalping trades lasting less than a few minutes or hours Minute Charts: Trades of short duration a. Day Trades for short term swings, holding less than a few days Minutes 2 Hours: Suited for Intermediate term trades a. Swing or Trend Trades lasting days and sometimes longer Hours: Longer Term Trend Trades a. Great with Daily or Weekly Charts Copyright ATTS

6 Why Is Choosing the Correct Intraday Timeframe Important? 1. Magnitude of Momentum - Shorter time frames less momentum on individual candles so expect smaller moves 2. Does the Timeframe compliment other chart timeframes? - Daily, Weekly 3. Shorter time = more emotions due to lots of data stimulus Copyright ATTS

10 Analyzing the 1 Hour Chart 1. A simple Go No-Go decision 2. Refine Entries, Targets and Stops! 3. Identify Support, Resistance & Trend Lines 4. Focus on 50 Period Moving Average 5. Be aware of 8-20 period Moving Average Cross (up or down) 6.
