A student who officially resigns within twelve calendar days after the last day to register for credit will receive 50% credit to his account of all refundable fees identified on the bill/statement as registration fees, out-of-state fees, and laboratory fees. After this date, no refund or credit will be made. Dropped courses are not refundable at any time and will not be credited to a student s account. In some cases, the refund policy will result in a reduction of charges and not a cash refund. Nonattendance of classes is not a basis for backing out registration fees. Students attending NSU for the first time and receiving Title IV assistance (Federal Financial Aid) will be refunded to Title IV if the student resigns during the first 60% of the enrollment period. Installment Fee Payment in full is required on scheduled fee payment date. Accounts not paid in full will be assessed an $85.00 nonrefundable Installment Plan Fee. NOTICE! ALL CLASS OFFERINGS IN THIS PUBLICATION ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGES, CANCELLATIONS, OR CLOSURES AS WARRANTED BY INSUFFICIENT REGISTRATION OR ADMINISTRATIVE DECISIONS. THIS SCHEDULE DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A CONTRACT OR AN OFFER TO CONTRACT BETWEEN NSU AND ANY OTHER PARTY. ADVISEMENT NSU highly encourages all students to seek advisement through their major department. If you do not know who your advisor is, report to the department of your major for assignment of an advisor. Alternate PIN The following groups of students must meet with their academic advisor (in person or via telephone or ) to obtain an alternate PIN before they will be permitted to register by NSUConnect for the spring 2015 semester: (a) all undergraduate students with less than 30 earned hours, (b) students with 30 or more earned hours and less than a 2.25 cumulative GPA, (c) all Scholars College students, and (d) all student athletes. The alternate PIN allows students to access the registration drop/add services on the NSUConnect system. Once a student logs in with his/her NSUConnect ID and PIN and selects the Registration Drop/Add Class option, he/she is required to enter the alternate PIN before the system will allow registration functions. The alternate PIN is a randomly generated six digit number that is unique to the student. Additionally, the alternate PIN is term specific. For example, a student s alternate PIN for fall will be different from the alternate PIN for spring.
