1 April 17, 2018 ADDENDUM #1 RP Infinite Energy Center Exhibit Hall Expansion Architectural Design Services Please see the below summation of the questions/answers/clarification regarding the above solicitation. Clarification: ADD, Page 2, II. Scope of Services Renovation of the existing theater is part of the architect s scope of work and included in the total budget of $72.4M. The theater renovation work will be a stand-alone project and not part of the initial design effort. For pricing purposes, the total project budget for the theater renovation is approximately $10.5M. The master plan, Exhibit 1 in the published RFP, has information regarding what is envisioned in the theater renovation. The architectural firm s proposal fee schedule should be broken into two separate projects; one for the forum expansion, renovation and new addition and a second fee proposal for the theater renovation- See Revised Fee Schedule, attached. Page 7 of the RFP states the submittal has a page limit of 30 pages. Clarification: This page count does not include front and back covers or any County required forms such as Fee Schedule, Contractor Affidavit & Agreement, Code of Ethics Affidavit, & References. It does include resumes. The page limit remains at 30. DELETE, Page 8 Fee Schedule, REPLACE WITH attached Fee Schedule, Page 8R. ADD Page 23, Reference Sheet Paragraphat least one (1) should be a theater project. Please see the following summation of questions and answers: Is there a preferred binding method for the 5 copies? No, however the Original should be single-sided, unbound. Proposal Fee Schedule Pages 5-8, is to be in a separately sealed envelope. Are 5 copies of the fee schedule to be included along with the original? No Will there be a coherent Fire Alarm system or will it tie in to the current system? - It will most likely be a separate system that will tie into the current Simplex System and will be part of
2 RP Addendum 1 Infinite Energy Center Page 2 the Mechanical, Engineering, Plumbing etc. services proposal that is not part of this request for proposal. It is anticipated that the proposal for those services will be issued in the next forty-five days Are the limits of insurance different for each project? If so what are the limits? Limits are determined on a per project basis. Typically, Up to $1 million, $5 million, $10 million, or set per the County Risk manager instructions. Are there any structural modification anticipated to the existing exhibit hall or existing ballroom to handle rigging loads? No structural modifications in ballroom; but possible structural changes for rigging in existing exhibit halls. References, Page 23. Can the County extend the period of time for completed project examples from 10 years to 15 years? No Can a fire protection/life safety consulting firm team with the selected Architectural firm and the selected MEP team? Yes but not as the prime firm. With the addition of the Theater scope to the RFP, will there be any modifications to the submission requirements such as additional relevant projects or an increase in the allowed page count so that the firms should list experience with this type of project? Please see revised reference page requirement addition, page limit remains at 30. Is the County including services for surveying, geotechnical study, and special inspections in the expansion of the Infinite Energy Center Forum? Yes, those services will be procured separately and are not part of this RFP. Is there a limit or a minimum to the number of relevant projects included in the proposal? No just a page limit for the proposal. Is 11 x 17 page size acceptable? If necessary, a page this size will be reduced down to 8.5 x 11 for the document imaging of the final contract. If the selected firm has any pages this size, when reduced it will need to be legible. Client references are mentioned more than once in the RFP. Is it expected that references will be provided only once as part of the project data sheets required for Criteria 1? Please see Relevant Project Experience section and then the Description for Firm References that refers to Page 23 -Reference Page. This may be identical information or it could be different based on each firms project experience and specific Reference page requested information, i.e. at least one project with a public sector, within the last 10 years, etc. Has the County determined a date range for face-to-face interviews that may be held with submitting teams? No

The completion date for the entire project is currently estimated at 24 to 30 months. The hotel brand is currently Marriott.
