1 MasterTech Online Instructions We are excited for you to experience our technology suite that consists of five features available for dealership personnel. The five features are: 1) Contract Lookup 2) Verify Coverage 3) Claim Lookup 4) Cancel Quote 5) Dealer Statements Each feature of the MasterTech Online technology suite is designed for a specific access level. Below are the access levels and the corresponding features available. Level 1 - Contract Lookup, Verify Coverage, & Claim Lookup (typically for service advisors, consultants, and service managers) Level 2 - Level 1 features plus Cancel Quote (typically for office staff, business managers, and sales managers) Level 3 - Level 1 & 2 features plus Dealer Statements (typically for office managers, comptrollers/controllers, CFOs, and Dealer Principals) Contract Lookup After you enter your unique username and password, the company code and five-digit dealership code should automatically populate. The Contract Lookup feature allows you to search for a customer by three different fields: the customer s last name, contract number, or last six digits of the VIN. It is also possible to enter the last name and a portion of the first name to view the possible matches. The Contract Lookup feature will only display contracts sold at your dealership. The Verify Coverage feature allows you to verify coverage of a contract sold at any location.

2 Search for a customer by typing in his/her last name. You will notice the difference between in-force, expired, and cancelled contracts in the status column. You will also be able to see whether the contract is a VSC (MPSAUTOVSC), GAP (ASAUTOGAP), or Maintenance (AUTOMNT). If your search produces too many results, narrow down the search results a bit more by adding the customer s first name to the search field labeled First Name (starts with).

3 Select the VSC contract that correlates to the customer you are searching for. Once a customer is selected, you can see the contract details (type of coverage, dates, etc.) at the top of the page. When finished, select the Options Page button to return to the main menu.

4 Verify Coverage Verify Coverage allows the service department to verify the coverage of a contract sold at any location. To search for a customer, two of the three search criteria must be entered (contract number, last name, or last six digits of VIN). Once the customer is selected, the same information as that found on the Contract Lookup screen will be displayed. When finished, select the Options Page button to return to the main menu.

5 Claim Lookup The Claim Lookup feature allows you to view a claim at your dealership by the claim number, repair order number, contract number, customer last name, or last 6 digits of the VIN.

6 Claim Lookup was designed so that you can view the status of a given claim. Here is a list of commonly used Claim Status codes: A (approved), C (closed and paid), D (denied), IQ (inquiry only), P (pending), and PI (pending inspection). Denied Claim

7 Closed and Paid Claim When reviewing the examples, you will notice the repair facility and claim status listed. If a payment was paid via virtual credit card, it will show VPay in the Pay Type Column. When finished, select the Options Page button to return to the main menu.

8 Cancel Quote The Cancel Quote feature allows dealership personnel to work deals on nights and weekends and use the service contract cancellation refund amount in the new or used vehicle transaction. This feature does not cancel a contract. In order to cancel a MasterTech service contract, American Financial Warranty Corporation must receive the cancellation request with the customer s signature. The Cancel Quote only allows you to enter today s date and will not accept mileage that is lower than any VSC or maintenance claim processed. To obtain a cancellation quote with a cancel date prior to today s date, you must call American Financial Warranty Corporation at during normal business hours. Cancel Quote is not available for Texas GAP policies.

9 Once you have located the correct contract, simply input the cancellation mileage and select the Get Quote button.

10 Once the quote is generated, you can see specific cancellation details as well as the total customer refund amount. Be sure to verify that cancellation mileage was entered correctly. For a breakdown of the dealership portion, please contact American Financial Warranty Corporation during normal business hours. When finished, select the Options Page button to return to the main menu.

11 Dealer Statements Once you select the dealer statement option, the most recent finalized dealer statement will appear on the screen by default. To select a different month, use the drop down menu. In addition, you must select the version of the report that you would like to load (i.e. web version, print version, or Excel version). Below the New Balance field, in the summary section, are various tabs that pertain to different sections of the dealer statement. Selecting a tab allows you to view information in that particular section of the dealer statement.

12 If you would like to print a copy of your dealer statement, click on the Print Version button at the top of the screen to prepare the statement for printing. Then follow your default printer s instructions.
