Once again, it's our wonde1ful privilege to join together in conducting a Holy Land tou1. And as before, our wives Chi-isty and Elaine will join us. What a thdll it is for both of us to teach the Word of God-in the setting in which it was spoken and wl'itten. You'll visit the site where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount on the hills overlooking the Sea of Galilee. You'll walk through the village of Capernaum where Jesus centered His ministry, and sit in the synagogue located in the very spot where Jesus taught. From the Mount of Olives you'll gaze across the old city of Jerusalem, the Temple Mount, the Dome of the Rock and even walk up the same southern steps just as Jesus did when He entered the temple 2000 yem s ago. You'll experience all of this and so much mo1 e. It's truly an unforgettable trip. In addition to learning biblical truth in this incredible setting, you'll enjoy worshiping under the leadership of Krista Springstead, who serves as one of the worship leaders at Chase Oaks. 2 TOUR ITINERARY April 23 Dallas/Newark Depart DFW connect thru Newark April 24 Tel Aviv Arrive in Tel Aviv, transfer to our hotel in Tiberias on the shores of the Sea of Galilee. April 25 Caesarea Philippi/Dan/Golan Heights We ll head north to Caesarea Philippi, the ancient pagan city where Peter made his famous confession of Jesus as The Christ. We ll walk through a beautiful nature reserve and tour Ancient Dan, where King Jeroboam set up a golden calf, and see the Gate of Ahab dating from 800 BC. Then up to the Golan Heights, overlooking Syria, we ll learn about the wars of modern Israel and the importance of this strategic region. On our way back to Tiberias, we ll stop at a vineyard for a wine tasting. April 26 Sea of Galilee/Capernaum This will be a memorable day touring the Galilee region where Jesus spent the majority of his ministry. We ll visit Capernaum, home of Peter s mother-in-law and the synagogue where Jesus performed miracles, we ll see the Mt. of Beatitudes, the ruins at Chorazin, boat across the Sea of Galilee, and have the opportunity to be baptized in the Jordan River. April 27 Beit She'an/Qumran/Dead Sea We leave the Galilee region and visit the Spring of Harod where Gideon chose his 300 men, then tour Beit She an one of Israel s most spectacular archaeological discoveries, once a palatial Greco-Roman city known as Scythopolis. We ll pass by Jericho and then view the caves at Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were first discovered. Then it s on to the Dead Sea, where you can float in the beautiful salt water, 1200 feet below sea level. We ll overnight here on the shores of the Dead Sea. April 28 Dead Sea/Masada We ll ascend to Herod s desert fortress, Masada, where Jewish defenders made their final stand in their unsuccessful revolt against Roman rule in 73 AD. Then return to our hotel for a free afternoon to enjoy a massage at the hotel spa or relax on the beach or by the pool. April 29 Ein Gedi/Jerusalem We ll start with a visit to Ein Gedi, the area where David had a historic encounter with King Saul. Then it s up to Jerusalem for the climax of our tour. From the Mt. of Olives, we ll have a panoramic view of the Old City and the Temple Mount. We ll reflect as we stroll through the traditional site of the Garden of Gethsemane. We ll tour the Western Wall and the Herodian Tunnels that take you down to the original streets from the time of Jesus. Then head to our hotel just outside the Old City walls. April 30 Jerusalem/Shepherd s Fields/City of David It s a big day in the Old City, we ll visit the Temple Mount and Dome of the Rock, visit St. Anne s Church, the Pools of Bethesda and walk along the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, considered the historic site of Calvary. We ll celebrate Jesus birth in Shepherd s Fields near Bethlehem, then tour the City of David, the original fortified city of Jerusalem and home to Hezekiah s Tunnels and the Pools of Siloam, where we ll have the opportunity to venture through the clear spring water tunnels. Then we ll conclude our day on the Southern Steps of the Temple Mount where Jesus would have walked up these same steps to the Temple. May 1 Jerusalem Today we ll visit a scaled Model of the Holy Land from the time of Jesus, view the Dead Sea Scrolls on exhibit at the Shrine of the Book Museum and tour Yad Vashem, Israel s Holocaust Museum. We will end our tour of Jerusalem with a special service at the Garden Tomb, a beautiful area just outside the Old City walls that many believe may have been the site of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus. Then we ll enjoy dinner back at our hotel. May 2 Caesarea/Mt. Carmel/Sea of Galilee On our last touring day, we ll visit Mt. Carmel, the hillside where Elijah defeated the prophets of Baal. From here we overlook the Jezreel Valley, better known as the Valley of Armageddon. We end our tour in Caesarea, where the gospel first went out to the Gentiles, built by Herod the Great in 22 BC, we ll see the Roman theater, palace ruins, harbor, hippodrome and aqueducts. We ll enjoy our final Farewell Dinner in Tel Aviv on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, say goodbye to Israel and drive to the airport for our late-night departure to the USA. May 3 Newark/Dallas Our flight will arrive early in Newark where we will connect for our return home to DFW. Not Included in Tour Cost: Personal Expenses: Passports, laundry, phone calls, etc. Beverages: Drinks with lunch and dinner. Individual Transfers: Any airport transfers and hotel stays other than those with the group. Reservation and Payment Information: Reservations and Payment: To reserve your spot a deposit of $500 per person must accompany the reservation form together with a copy of your passport. An additional payment of $2500 is due November 1, Final payment is due February 15, Payments may be made on Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express with an added 3.5% fee. Single Room Supplement: A limited number of single rooms are available at an additional cost of $1300 per person. Trip Cancellation and Travel Insurance: Coverage is included through MH Ross Co., a highly reputable travel insurance provider. The All- Inclusive Tour Package includes coverage limits up to $4975 and up to $3475 for the Land Only Package. Reasons for cancelling must be covered in the MH Ross Co. Group Insurance Policy provisions. (See Attached Policy Coverage) Cancellation for ANY REASON is not included. (If you purchase airfare through another airline you should check their cancellation policies and if you need to purchase additional insurance coverage for your flight that can be done through this provider. Cancellation Policy: The $500 Deposit is refundable except for a $100 Administrative Fee until November 1, Any cancellations after November 1, 2017 will be subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the amount paid or due to be paid at the time of cancellation. Any cancellations made after February 15, 2018 are non-refundable except under the provisions of the Trip Cancellation and Travel Insurance Policy.
