3 LOWVELD TRAILS MOBILE SAFARI CAMP The Lowveld Trails mobile camp is a no-frills, rustic camp in the Timbavati. The aim is to keep the camp s footprint as small as possible, so tents and equipment will only be set up for each booking, and once guests have departed, everything is packed away again. The camp appeals to the kind of person who would enjoy walking and more of a camping-style safari (although we provide all the catering). We have a traversing area of more than ha and can sometimes go for 2-3 days without seeing other people! The camp is all about the wilderness experience, being in the bush, no cell phones, and no electricity. Bateleur Mobile Camp is siutated right in the middle of the Timbavati, along the Zebeneen dry riverbed, and the Shlaralumi also passes through the traverse. The area offers all the big game, plains game, and a wide variety of different habitats, big trees along the riverbeds, knobthorn and marula savanna and also large sodic soil areas scattered with guarri bushes. Daily schedules are totally flexible. Interpretive walks in the morning last between 3 and hours, while afternoon and sunset game drives include periods with the spotlight searching for some of the more elusive nocturnal creatures.

4 The focal point of the camp is the camp fire. This will be the place to listen to the night sounds, regale stories and enjoy the privilege of being in a mobile bush camp in the middle of the Timbavati Game Reserve. We trail animals and interpret their tracks and signs, revealing a world we are just not aware of in our city lives. This is a highlight of the experience. A quality experience in the bush, great moments with special people, and an appreciation for nature are what the Timbavati trails are about. These trails include moments of solitude, adrenalin, laughter and plenty of fun!

6 Please bring cash for gate fees and drinks (no ATMs in the bush) BOOKING PROCEDURE 1) Your booking is confirmed upon acceptance of this quote, agreeing to our standard Terms & Conditions, and payment of a 50% deposit. Payment of deposit indicates acceptance of our quote and Terms & Conditions. Other payment methods are via direct deposit/money transfer to our bank account held with Standard Bank Hoedspruit 2) After payment of the deposit, your booking is confirmed and the balance will be due 10 weeks prior to arrival. 3) Upon final payment you will be issued with your final details, vouchers, and tickets. 4) Bookings made within 8 weeks (60 days) prior to arrival are subject to full prepayment at the time of confirming the reservation. NOTES Please note that you are required to have travel insurance in place as a booking condition. Travel insurance should be taken out in your home country and we recommend insurance covering you for personal effects, personal accident, medical and emergency travel expenses, cancellation and curtailment. You will need to take malaria precautions. Please note our standard cancellation policy: Cancellation outside 8 weeks prior to travel = 30 % deposit

7 Cancellation 8 to 6 weeks prior to travel Cancellation less than 6 weeks prior to travel = 50% of total cost = 100% of total cost Please note that should you have been quoted in US Dollars and wish to settle payment by means of a credit card, your quotation will be converted to South African Rands prior to the transaction being processed. The Dollar/Rand rate of exchange on the day that the transaction is processed will be used to determine the equivalent Rand amount. The South African Reserve Bank prohibits South African companies from taking foreign credit card payments and keeping the payment in foreign currency. The payment has to be converted to South African Rands before it is credited to the recipient. Guests are welcome to settle payment by means of a bank transfer. In this instance, your bank on presentation of the invoice will convert the amount. ALL bank charges are for the guest s account. Please note that in the event of flights being booked by Brett Horley Safaris on behalf of the guest, airlines require the full names of passengers as printed on their passports and will not accept changes once tickets are issued. Brett Horley Safaris accepts no responsibility for incorrect passport numbers or incorrect spelling of full names. Please ensure accurate information is sent to your Brett Horley Safaris consultant. International visitors require a valid passport together with onward travel documents. If travelling to South Africa, guests must please ensure that their passport is valid for at least 6 months after their entry date and that they have a minimum of 2 blank back-to-back pages in their passport to enable the entry visa to be issued. (If there is insufficient space in the passport then entry will be denied). All passport holders should verify with their relevant consulate concerning visa entry requirements. If you are extending your journey to other countries, please establish entry requirements for those countries as well. In addition, a parent traveling with children without the other parent present will need a letter of consent from the absent parent. The police must certify the letter of consent.
