1 Sunderland Association Football Club Limited Competition Terms & Conditions 1. Definitions SAA shall mean South African Airways; SAFC means Sunderland Association Football Club Limited; the Promoter means Sunderland Association Football Club Limited; the Winner means the person who is chosen as the winning entrant for the Prize; TTB shall mean Tanzania Tourist Board. 2. General 2.1 The competition will run from 9am on Wednesday 26 November 2014, until 5pm on Friday 17 April 2015, ( the Competition Period ). 2.2 Entries submitted before the open date and time and/or after the closing date and time will not be considered. 3. Restrictions This competition is open to residents of the UK (including Northern Ireland) aged 18 (eighteen) and over only, proof of age may be required. Employees (and members of their immediate family) of SAFC, their agents and anyone connected to this particular competition are not eligible to enter. For the avoidance of doubt a UK resident shall mean a UK citizen or permanent legal resident. Entry is void where permitted by law. 4. Rules to participate 4.1 Entry to this competition is via (SAFC s official competition site). Entrants should register with In accordance with clause 4.1 above, a valid entry is each participant registering with The entrant will be required to detail their name, contact address, postcode, address, telephone number and date of birth. 4.3 In addition to clause 4.2, entrants can also return their entries to SAFC, detailing the information contained in clause 4.2, in the following format: via post: Win a trip to Tanzania (Tanzania Tourist Board), Sunderland AFC, Stadium of Light, Sunderland, SR5 1SU. 4.4 The number of entries to this competition is limited to one per participant. 4.5 There is no charge for entering this competition and no purchase of goods is necessary to be eligible for entry into the competition and will not improve the chances of winning. However, entrants must ensure they have the bill payer s permission to use any internet service prior to entering the competition. 4.6 In addition to clause 4.5, entrants are advised that no knowledge or skill is required in order to enter the competition. 4.7 The Winners consent to SAFC using promotional material regarding the Winners, including any photography, imagery, and names being used on SAFC promotional channels both printed and digital. 4.8 In addition to clause 4.7 above, the Winner undertakes that he/she will provide a detailed blog and extensive photographs to SAFC from their trip. The Winner agrees for SAFC to share such blog and/or photographs with TTB and SAA for the purposes of showcasing the competition. The photographs and blog will not be passed to any third parties but the Winner consents to such being used in promotional material in accordance with clause 4.7.

2 4.9 There is no charge to register with SAFC s competition website. Prize(s) 5.1 There will be 1 (one) prize Winner chosen by SAFC by way of a Prize draw. The Winner will receive a holiday to Tanzania courtesy of SAA, TTB and SAFC ( the Prize ). The Winner shall be entitled to bring 3 (three) guests to avail the Prize. For the avoidance of doubt, there is no age restriction for the Winner s guests however, please be advised infants under the age of 2 will be classed as a one guest for the purpose of this competition. The Prize shall include the following: 4 (four) return economy SAA flights (including all taxes, surcharges, 1 (one) piece of checked baggage up to 23kg and 1 (one) piece of hand baggage up to 8kg not exceeding 56cm (L) 36cm (W) 23cm (H) for the Winner and each guest) from London Heathrow to Johannesburg and a connection to Dar es Salaam, courtesy of SAA. 7 (seven) nights in Tanzania, courtesy of TTB, which shall include all accommodation, transfers, flights whist in Tanzania, and applicable entry fees or Selous and Zanzibar (as listed below), for the Winner and each guests. Please see below an example itinerary, however, please note this is subject to change and availability at any time: o Day 1 - arrive in Dar es Salaam, overnight accommodation at Serena Dar es Salaam or Southern Sun Hotel o Day 2 - Depart for Selous Game Reserve in the morning, half day tour in Selous Game Reserve. Overnight at tented camp (either Serena or Kinga) o Day 3 - full day tour in Selous Game Reserve (game drive and boat trip), overnight at tented camp (either Serena or Kinga) o Day 4 - after breakfast depart for Zanzibar by flight, on arrival check in at hotel and stay overnight (either Serena or Zanzibar Collection Hotels) o Day 5 - Full day island spice tour o Day 6 - Zanzibar Winner s own time o Day 7 - Zanzibar Winner s own time o Day 8 - Fly back to Dar es Salaam for flight back to London. 5.2 The Winner will be responsible for all travel requirements (including costs) required to London Heathrow, both outbound and return (including any accommodation that is required) ( Supplementary Travel ). The Promoter will not be held liable for any cost, additional cost incurred or loss suffered to the Winner or their guests as a result of any amendment, cancellation or delay to the flights to and from the United Kingdom. 5.3 The Winner shall only be able to avail the Prize between the 1 June 2015 and 21 December The Winner shall not be able to redeem the Prize during the following periods: Friday 17 July 2015 Monday 7 September 2015; and Friday 23 October Monday 2 November The Prize is allocated at the sole discretion of SAFC and SAFC will not enter into any correspondence regarding the Prize. Neither SAFC, TTB nor SAA will supply the Winner with any personal spending money and the Prize does not include such. For the avoidance of doubt, the Prize shall not include, food, laundry, alcoholic drinks, beverages and personal shopping ( Additional Costs ). Please be advised this list of Additional Costs is not exhaustive and in any event the Additional Costs are the responsibility of the Winner. 5.5 By entering this competition the Winner undertakes to SAFC that the Prize will not be sold and/or passed to any third parties and shall only be used for the purpose outlined herein. 5.6 There are no alternatives to the Prize, the Prize is as stated and is non-transferrable. If due to circumstances beyond the control of SAFC they are unable to provide the stated Prize, SAFC reserves the right in their absolute discretion to substitute the Prize for a similar Prize of equivalent or greater value.

3 5.7 Should the Prize be postponed or cancelled for reasons outside of SAFC s/saa/ttb s control, SAFC/SAA/TTB shall not be liable to the Winner in respect of any costs, time or energy expended in relation to such Prize. In addition to such, SAFC, SAA and TTB will not engage in any communication associated with a dispute regarding the competition and will not be held liable for any costs associated with a dispute regarding it. 6. Results 6.1 The Winner will be notified by SAFC by 30 April The winning entry will be chosen randomly by SAFC by way of a Prize draw. SAFC s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Winners will be notified by telephone as soon as practicable after the draw has taken place. 6.3 If the Winner of the Prize cannot be traced after reasonable efforts have been made by SAFC, SAFC will be entitled to select an alternative Winner from the entries to the competition or dispose of the Prize as it thinks fit without any liability to the original winner. 6.4 Notification of the winning entry will be posted on the official website of SAFC, after the draw of the competition. 6.5 SAFC reserves the right to request the Winner to provide proof of identity and proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of SAFC and we reserve the right to refuse to allow a Winner to take part in any or all aspects of the Prize, if it is determined that a Winner is not in the mental or physical condition necessary to be able to safely avail the Prize. 7. General Conditions 7.1 SAA flight tickets are in the Economy cabin only and cannot be upgraded. The flight tickets provided in the Prize are only valid on SAA flights and cannot be used for any other flight and/or promotion. In addition to this, tickets will be issued in G class and subject always to fare rules. 7.2 At the time of booking the travel, the Winner will be asked to supply two sets of travel dates in order of preference, subject to the restrictions in clause 5.3. All attempts will be made to fulfil the Winner s requirements; however, the Winner agrees to comply with SAA, TTB and SAFC, until a suitable itinerary and travel period has been arranged. 7.3 The Winner must notify SAFC at least 30 days prior to availing the Prize; the reservation and flight tickets will be issued at least 21 days prior to travel. 7.4 The travel period will not be extended and no correspondence will be entered into regarding such. 7.5 Once the travel period has been agreed; such cannot be changed and SAFC will not enter any correspondence regarding re-routing, stop-overs and travel/accommodation upgrades which for the avoidance of doubt are not permitted. 7.6 The flight travel is subject to SAA s conditions of carriage and embargo restrictions may apply. Please be advised that voyager miles and any other loyalty rewards cannot be accrued or used. 7.7 The Winner is responsible for ensuring the names of all members of their party supplied to SAFC exactly match their passport(s) or applicable travel documentation. Non-compliance will result in denial to travel. Any ticket changes (including the correction names) will be at the cost of the Winner. Please be advised the cost could incur the full price of a new ticket. 7.8 Tickets will be issued in the Winner and their 3 (three) guests name only, infants not permitted unless using one of the 3 (three) guests places. Please note, immigration regulations for children under 18 years old will change as of the 1 June The Promoter strongly advises the Winner to check prior to travelling. For the avoidance of doubt, the Winner and any guests must ensure

4 they are eligible to travel; the Promoter cannot accept any liability should it be deemed that the Winner and/or any guests are ineligible. 7.9 The Winner must comply with and is responsible for attending to and is liable for any costs associated with any travel insurance, inoculation, health regulations and visa requirements required to visit the destination named in the Prize for the Winner and their guests. SAFC will not accept any liability for inability to travel, enter the destination or complete any activities due to incorrect or absent: visas, travel insurance, inoculations or non-compliance with health regulations In accordance with clause 5.2, the Promoter strongly advises that the Winner does not commit to any Supplementary Travel arrangements or accommodation until the Winner receives written confirmation of the confirmed travel dates and times from the Promoter. The Promoter will not be held liable for any costs incurred as a result of a cancellation or amendment to any Supplementary Travel arrangements and accommodation. Please note the Promoter cannot be held liable for any changes made to flight dates, times and routes SAFC shall not accept any liability for any injury or illness caused as a result of the Prize The Prize may not be sold or bartered for cash or any other consideration. Any contravention of these terms and conditions will render the Prize invalid and the Winner/or guest shall be liable for any legal costs including, but not limited to legal costs Any entry, which does not comply with the rules, may be deemed invalid at the sole discretion of SAFC. SAFC is not responsible for technical, hardware or software malfunctions, misdirected entries, lost or unavailable network connections, failed, incorrect, garbled, delayed electronic or other communications or other technical problems related to mobile entries. Proof of sending will not be deemed to be proof of delivery All entrants agree that they may be required to take part in publicity without further consent or payment. Such publicity may include their names and other information as deemed necessary by SAFC SAFC will monitor the nature of all entries associated with the competition, including but not limited to tweets/posts associated with the competition Entrants should note that any abusive, racist or derogatory entries will be deleted and the perpetrator will be blocked and will have their account reported to their service provider/twitter and/or Facebook; and if appropriate the Police Authority In addition to these terms and conditions, entrants/participants should avail themselves to the rules of Twitter and Facebook By entering this competition, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and by any other requirements set out in the promotional material, which may be amended or varied at any time by the Promoter The Promoters address is as follows: Sunderland Association Football Club Limited, Stadium of Light, Sunderland, SR5 1SU. 8. Data protection 8.1 In order to participate in the competition participants must provide certain personal information. This personal information is collected and processed for the purposes of organising, running and monitoring the campaign, as well as for carrying out publicity activities on it. 8.2 The Promoter shall be considered the data controller for the database containing this personal information. 8.3 In entering into the competition, the entrants agree that SAFC may use their data for promotional purposes. SAFC will not pass any data onto any third parties.

5 9. Jurisdiction This competition and the rules are governed by English Law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.
