4 PGAA Treasurers Report March 12, 2014 Our Current bank balance as of the end of January 2014 is $54, The calendar year that ended Dec. 31, 2013 has yielded us a surplus of $30, thanks to our very successful golf tournament. The funds generated from the tournament were earmarked for the funding required to develop a Master Glaziers program with SAIT. Given the recent reevaluation of this program by SAIT and the unknown future of the program we should determine if a portion of our current bank funds should be set aside in a separate account so that if the program does move forward we do have some funding available. Moving forward we will be using more resources to further our participation in the Skills program. Skills was a great success last year and we have budgeted more resources to help keep our trade front and centre at this event. The budget for the golf tournament has been scaled back for this year as we do not want to keep hitting our sponsors so hard. The tournament will be marketed for 100 golfers and is set for Thursday August 14 at the River Bend Golf Course in Red Deer. Our annual golf tournament is our major source of funding as it is budgeted to provide about $11, in net income. Our budgeted surplus for 2014 based on the proposed budget is $5, Funds from our member dues cover the cost of our insurance and web site maintenance. The funding for our awards, Skills support and the office and meeting expenses are coming from golf tournament surpluses. Please find attached the year end financial statement for corporate registries, the proposed 2014 budget and a copy of the detailed balance sheet and income statement for Respectfully Submitted Dwayne Stolz PGAA Treasurer
