(Action taken September 25, 1941) To Whom It May Concern: We, the Budget Commission for Union County, Ohio, do hereby certify the levy of 4.05 mills for County Purposes according to the following distribution, viz: General County Fund, 3.00 mills; Debt,.05 mill; Aid for Dependent Children,.15 Mill; Children's Home,.47 mill; and County Home,.38 mill. Smith, Auditor; Edgar A. Holycross, Treasurer; and William L. Coleman, Prosecuting Attorney. The County's Budget was discussed but no final decisions were made concerning same. The Board of County Commissioners of Union County having submitted its annual budget for the fiscal year commencing January 1st, 1943 for consideration of the County Budget Commission, the discussion on the Budget (adjourned from the meeting on September 9th) was again opened. 17 15 Marysville, Ohio, April 15, The Union County Budget Commission met this day in special session with the following members present: F. T. Mccurdy, Auditor; Edgar A. Holycross, Treasurer; and William L. Coleman, Prosecuting Attorney. The meeting was called for the purpose of distributing the Local Government Sales Tax in the amount of $ for t~e year 1943, said tax having been anticipated. by the Budget Commission at its meeting of September 16, It was moved by Mr. Coleman and seconded by Mr. Holycross that the tax be distributed as allocated, viz: ten per cent to the Townships distributed on the basis of the 1940 Census and the balance to be divided among the Corporations and the County on a like basis. Holycross, Treasurer; and William L,. Coleman, Prosecuting Attorney. The meeting was called for the purpose of considering the request of the Village of Richwood which follows: "July 12, "Last year Richwood Village received from the County Auditor $100. to be used in defraying Civilian Defense expenditures. This sum has been expended - in fact the appropriation has been overdrawn. 11 The mayor has asked me to request that another contribution be made from your office - it being our understanding that further funds are available for this purpose. Thanking you, Yours very truly, Paul B. VanWinkle, Village Clerk." It was moved by Mv.
