There has been good progress in all areas: all eight ofthe rehabilitation contracts are now signed and works ongoing, and one of the four smaller contracts to address accident black spots on the network. The other three contracts for black spot alleviation are being left until the safe road design consultant, whose draft contract will be submitted to the Bank shortly, has reviewed the designs. 2 Whilst the disbursements under the project remain on the low side, they are expected to increase markedly in the short term. Disbursements as of vember 15, 2010 amounted to 53.4 percent (US$59.11 million) of the total loan and credit funds within the project. However, this figure is expected to rise markedly through the remainder of 2010, as construction continues, and is projected to reach 17 percent for the period July to end December 2010, and 60 percent by the end of June 30, 2011 Results Project Development Objective Indicators Defined reduction in vehicle operating costs (in %) for road users by car, on priority sections 01-Oct is average value of VOCs on is average of VOCs on all all IDA financed sections IDA financed sections after works have been completed Satisfactory piloting of output and performance based contracts in the two pilot regions.
