Citizenship Washington Focus (CWF) is open to all youth ages and personally funded. National 4-H Conference is open to 4-H members ages The opportunity is funded by the North Dakota 4-H Foundation. An application process is required and are awarded each year. National 4-H Congress is open to 4-H members ages This opportunity is also funded by the North Dakota 4-H Foundation. An application process is required and are awarded each year. Leadership Washington Focus is open to 4-H members entering grades 7-9. We have some new contests that will be included in our style show. These will be new to our county and state contest. If you have any questions contact the office for answers! The $15 Challenge Do you enjoy shopping? Do you look for great buys? Like to check out garage sales, thrift stores, or consignment shops? Have you ever brought your own special touch. to an outfit that makes it unique and individually you? What You Will Do in the $15 Challenge Shop in new places. Save money. Put together a great outfit. What You Will Learn To choose clothing that makes you look good. To use good shopping skills. To communicate clearly. Make & Show 4-H Non-Wearable Items Who May Enter Any youth enrolled in Home Environment, Fiber Arts or Clothing & Textiles project who is age 8 to 12 on Sept. 1 (Preteen) and age 13 to 18 on Sept. 1 (Teen). What the Member Does 1. Construct a non-wearable item using sewing,crocheting, knitting or other fiber arts techniques using fabric or other fiber arts materials. Examples could be a quilt, tote bag, purse, zippered pouch, pillow case, apron, covered pillows, doll clothes, etc. 2. The process, workmanship and quality of the finished project will be evaluated. 3. Bring the created item, pattern and completed fact sheet to the event. Judging will include the appearance, knowledge of the subject, construction of the item, and grooming within the abilities of the 4-H member.

Pizza will be provided. The more people, the faster it will go! Chicken Testing!! July 9th Breana will be testing chickens from 3-5pm, Please call the office to reserve a time slot. This will be the only time we will be having the mandatory chicken testing. Your bird must be tested to be eligible for fair..

This is a chance for young entrepreneurs to share your business ideas or products with local experienced business owners. It is a planned business pitch that explains what your product is, why a consumer would want it, what the cost ratio is, and how your product is better than similar products on the market. Find the information on the contest here! The contest will be held on Friday July 13th at the 5pm n/4h-and-youth/4-h-forms 4-H Shotgun If you years old and interested in 4-H Shotgun please contact the 4-H office. We have practice every Tuesday night at 6pm at the Oakes trap grounds. Dickey County Consumer Decision Making Contest The contest will be held at the Fairgrounds on July 13th at 1:30 in the commercial building there is no pre-registration, If you are interested in competing just show up on the day of the event to register. 8 News 2018 Dickey County Fair Schedule We will be using the commercial building this year for all contests. Statics, clothing review, consumer choice, etc. will be in the commercial building. This year we will be displaying static exhibits by club area.
