The Fair will be held on Saturday, September 23rd at Local 110 s Union Hall (4532 S. Lindbergh Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63127) from 7:00-11:00 am. We prepare all year long for the Fair and work hard to make it as informative and fun as we can. With that being said, let s take a minute to remind you of everything the Health Fair has to offer! 2 PAGE 2 Annual Funding Notice PENSION BUZZ By now, you should have received our required mailing of our Annual Funding Notice. Below is some of the information the notice provides you. How well your pension plan is funded The value of your pension plan s assets and liabilities How your pension plan s assets are invested If you have any questions regarding the notice you received, feel free to contact the Benefit Office at ext. 3. Pension Wall of Fame The Greater St. Louis Construction Laborers Pension Fund would like to take this opportunity to congratulate some of our recent retirees on their next chapter, Retirement! We know that working as a laborer is not an easy task. That is why we would like to take a moment to honor all of our retirees for all of their hard work and dedication to the Labor trade and share some fun facts with you. John Wille Local 110 John was a laborer for 38 years. After retirement, he plans on hunting and fishing. James Curia Local 42 James was a laborer for 13 years. After retirement, he plans on traveling, golfing and doing artwork. Doug Jewell Local 42 Doug was a laborer for 34 years. After retirement, he plans to take a brief vacation and then get into another line of work. John Pado Local 42 John was a laborer for 18 years. After retirement, he plans on taking it one day at a time and see where it leads. Look for your next Pension check to be mailed on September 27, 2017

3 PAGE 3 Did you know when you are covered under the Laborers Active or Retiree (Non-Medicare) plan, you have excellent vision coverage? With such great benefits, you can get your eyes checked yearly. Check out your vision coverage below! As always, call the Benefit Office at with any questions you may have! Insurance Coverage Quarters How many hours do I need to be covered? This is a question we are often asked, so to better explain, here is an example. If you work 275 hours in the St. Louis jurisdiction during the months of September, October and November, you will have coverage beginning January 1. Any hours worked that are over 275 will be put in your bank and can be used towards the next quarter. You can only bank 275 hours. QUALIFYING QUARTERS 275 HOURS* Sept. Oct. Nov. Dec. Jan. Feb. Mar. Apr. May June July Aug. COVERAGE QUARTERS Jan. Feb. Mar. Apr. May June July Aug. Sept. Oct. Nov. Dec. *If you work outside of the St. Louis jurisdiction you may need more or less than 275 hours for eligibility.

4 What are COB forms? PAGE 4 Does it feel like you just filled out a Coordination of Benefits (COB) form last year and now you just received another one in the mail? Well, that s because you did! The Benefit Office sends out yearly COB forms during the member s birth month. The purpose of this form is to see if anyone in the family has other insurance that could possibly be primary over the Laborers insurance. Even if no one in your family has other coverage, the form must be fully completed and signed to be accepted. By knowing who has other primary insurance, we are able to coordinate claims and ensure that benefits are paid correctly. Remember, if you do not return the COB form in a timely manner, your benefit coverage may be affected. Keep in mind, any dependents who are 18 years or older will have their own Adult Child Coordination of Benefits form to complete and sign. Member I-Site Have you logged into your Member I-Site lately? If you answered no, please take a minute to log in and make sure all your information looks accurate. To access I-Site, visit our website at and click on the MEMBER I-SITE LOGIN button. This will direct you to enter your username and password. If you have never been on the site before, you will need to register with your username and temporary password. (If you do not have this information, you can call the Benefit Office at ). Once you register, you will have access to view all of your information such as: eligibility, hours reported, pension information, beneficiary, medical claims, vacation hours, etc). I-Site is a great tool for our members, however, we encourage you to call the Benefit Office at any time with questions or concerns regarding your information.
