1 Relevance of the Program:- India has a target of producing 40% of in its total energy needs from Renewable Energy sources by 2030, as per the Intended Nationally Determinant Contribution statement which is part of its commitment to the United Nations. The country has been moving fast in the renewable energy sector. Technology has grown immensely over the last decade and today we are successfully tapping wind energy and solar energy. To some extent we are using tidal power and bio fuels as well. With nearly 61 GW renewable power capacity in place and the lower solar energy tariffs, this sector is poised for phenomenal growth. These changes have brought in new challenges for insurers who have to understand the various technologies used. The mechanisms to understand, analyse and price the risks in the sector from risk management and underwriting points of view as well as claim settlement angles, have also become highly challenging. Program Objective:- The one day technical workshop on renewable energy is designed to highlight the importance of this sector, the challenges in understanding the risk, concerns in underwriting as well as on the ground level experience of claims related challenges. Participant Profile:- Insurance buyers, risk managers, agents, brokers, underwriters, adjusters, attorneys, professionals from the renewal energy, sector, contractors, companies and others who need to understand, mitigate or insure the complex exposures in the renewal energy business. 2 Enrolment:- To enrol for the training program please download the enrolment form and after filling in the necessary details submit your form and fees to the office of Insurance Institute of India, Plot C- 46, G-Block, Near Dhirubhai Ambani International School, Bandra-Kurla Complex, Bandra (East), Mumbai by 13 th September, 2019 You can also do online enrolment through s website on or before 13 th September, Program Duration: - One Day on 20 th September, 2019 Course Fees:- Participants requiring residential facilities: Total amount Required Rs i.e. (Rs. 4300/- plus 9% CGST + 9% SGST). The fees cover tuition, course material, A/C single room accommodation in the Institute s campus and full boarding (bed tea/coffee, breakfast, lunch, light refreshments in the evening and dinner). All rooms are fully furnished with attached bathroom and Internet facility. Rooms are reserved from noon onwards the day prior to the commencement of the program. The participants can stay till noon next day after the conclusion of the program. Non-residential participants: Total amount Required Rs. 3658/-i.e. (Rs. 3100/- plus 9% CGST + 9% SGST). The fees cover tuition, course material and day boarding (i.e. tea/coffee during tea breaks and lunch for actual days of training). 2
