Subject: APPOINTMENT TO THE POST OF SI/GD IN CRPF : ALLOTMENT OF 203 DASI SELECTED THROUGH CPO/SI EXAM Please refer to this Directorate signal of even number of date. 02. The SSC has allotted 212 DASIs selected from SI/CPOs exam 2013 to CRPF. Out of which, dossiers of 203 candidates have been received from various regional offices of SSC. Accordingly candidates whose dossiers have been received are hereby allotted to your Zones based on the vacancies available as on 01/06/2014 as per Appendix A attached. a) The candidates are allotted to your Zone for sub allotment to units under your jurisdiction and completion of post selection formalities. While issuing offer of appointment, candidate may be directed to report to the GCs of the concerned Units. On reporting of candidates at GCs, they should be equipped with full kit items and kept ready for dispatch to the Training Institution on hearing the date of commencement of training from Trg. Dte. b) They may be taken on the strength of your Zone/Sector and reflected in the vacancy position as on c) The dossiers enclosed with the letter may be scrutinized thoroughly from all angles and copies of all certificates/ testimonials attached with the dossiers & signature of

2 candidates should be verified from the original records before allowing them to join the force. d) The names and roll numbers of the candidates are also required to be checked from the photo-bearing admission certificates of the written examination for verifying the identity of the candidates who had actually taken the examination. e) Prior to giving offer of appointment to the candidates, signatures on the nomination form and photographs of the candidates pasted on the application forms may be tallied with the specimen signature of the regional directors as appended in letters received from various regional directors of SSC. f) The SSC has intimated that during pre-nomination scrutiny of dossiers, minor variation in the spelling of candidates name/father s name has been observed in case of some candidates. In case, matric/degree certificates in respect of some other candidates are found not attached with the application form, appropriate affidavit/certificate/ undertaking may please be obtained from such candidates before allowing them to join. It is also intimated that the crucial date for reckoning the Educational Qualification and age for the post is 01/01/2013 and has also requested to abide by the contents of DOP&T OM No /5/2004- Estt (Res) dated 14/10/2004 with regard to status of OBC candidates as on the crucial date not earlier than 20/04/2010 and not later then 29/03/2014. g) In case of Ex-servicemen candidates, Note-I below para-4 of notice of SI in CPOs exam 2012 provides that Ex-service men who have already joined Govt. job in civil side after availing of the benefits given to the ex-servicemen for their re-employment are also eligible for the age concession. However, such candidates will not be eligible for the benefit of the reservation as Ex-Service men or for fee concession. Therefore, fresh undertaking in the format prescribed in Annexure VI (copy enclosed) may be taken from each Ex- Service men category candidate before allowing them to join. In case the Ex-Servicemen candidate has already joined the

3 Govt. service including Public Sector Undertaking/ Autonomous Bodies/Statutory Bodies/Nationalized Banks etc. before this appointment by availing the benefit of reservation available to Ex-Servicemen, he may not be allowed to join and his dossier may be returned to concern SSC with all relevant documents. h) In case of ex-army personnel, option is required to be obtained for counting of previous military service within one year of joining in CRPF. While issuing offer of appointment/order etc. clear information in this regard be incorporated. i) In case of OBC candidates, a declaration is required to be obtained from the candidate seeking reservation as OBC in the prescribed format. j) Validity of medical examination will be one year from the date of medical examination. Hence no medical examination is required to be conducted for candidates who report within the period of one year after medical examination. k) The DoP&T OM No /2/93-Estt.(D) dated , envisaged that an offer of appointment should clearly specify the period (which shall not normally exceed one or two months) after which the offer would lapse automatically if the candidates did not join within the specified period. Further SSC which is under DoP&T has provisions at para-viii in their letter of Nomination for Appointment for issuing reminder to candidate and in case of no response cancellation offer of appointment. Therefore, candidates may be given one-month time to join CRPF from the date of issue of offer of appointment. The offer of appointment letter should be sent by registered post with AD. In case of non reporting of candidates within specified period, a reminder through registered post with AD be issued. In no case, the time limit allow to the candidate including time given by reminder should exceed the ceiling of maximum of two month from initial date of offer of appointment. If any candidates declined the offer of appointment or fails to report for duty or there is no response from her/him even

4 after a reminder the offer of appointment should formally be cancelled and the candidate be informed accordingly. The recruitment dossiers of such candidates may be returned to the concerned regional office of SSC under intimation to this Dte., by retaining copies of all correspondence including cancellation letter in your office. l) Apart from above necessary guidelines as enumerated in letters received from various Regional Directors (Copy being enclosed) may also be taken note while issuing offer of appointment. m) In order to enable candidates to see status of their allotment/offer of appointment the details of sub allotment of candidate to sectors / Range/Unit and offer of appointment may also be uploaded in CRPF web net. n) The sub-allotment of above DASIs to Sectors/Range/Units etc may be made within a week from the date of receipt of dossiers so that they could be detailed in DASO basic training as per scheduled by training Dte. o) A list of candidate allotted to your zone duly mentioning their date of joining be forwarded to this Directorate by 15/10/2014. Besides, a summary showing dossiers received, candidates reported and offer of appointment cancelled/ dossiers returned may also be sent to this Dte. by 31/12/2014. p) Training Directorate will communicate date and venue for their basic training. 03 Please acknowledge receipt.
