5 Important points to be kept in mind by the applicant Individual / Firm / Pvt. Ltd. / Public Ltd. Co., at the time of filling up the application form for GCCI Membership 1. The applicant should fill the form in clear and legible writing. 2. In case the office address is provided by the applicant, it is compulsory to provide the proof of registration under Shops & Establishments Act, and if the factory/workshop address is provided, the copy of registration and license for the factory is compulsory. 3. In case the names of the representatives mentioned by the applicant are not included in the Memorandum of Association, then they need to provide a self-attested copy of the Form 32 submitted to the Registrar of Companies notifying the names of the representatives. 4. In case the names of representatives are neither mentioned in the Memorandum of Association or in Form 32, the applicant has to submit a resolution on the Company s letterhead, duly certified by the authorized signatory/managing Director/ Chairman/ Company Secretary. 5. Forms which are partly filled, or which do not include the cheque for the required amount, will not be accepted. 6. New applicants who are registered as members of The Chamber from 1st February to 31st March of the previous year in reference to the Current Year, shall have right to vote but shall not be able to contest any election held in the Current Year. 7. The Executive Committee reserves the right to cancel the membership of any member whose details are found to be incorrect at a later stage. The Executive Committee has the right to reject the application for membership without having to cite any reasons. Any applicant whose application has been rejected by the Executive Committee can reapply after a period of 2 years from the date of rejection of the application. 8. If the representative whose name has been given in by the applicant in the application form, holds/has held the chamber s membership in any other category, he has to submit such details in a letter to be attached with the application form. 9. There can not be more than 2 members from the same address, unless the Scrutiny Committee is satisfied as per GCCI Constitution. 10. If the applicant individual resides in any area under the jurisdiction of the Ahmedabad Police Commissioner or is included within the AUDA limits, he would be classified under the local category. The applicant needs to provide such details along with the application form. 11. If the applicant has mentioned the name and address as a business firm, he/she needs to submit the details of registration under concerned statutory authority. 12. The applicant needs to submit along with the application form two passport sized/stamp sized photographs of each representative, with names written at the back. 13. The applicant needs to submit details of whether the enrolment fee and annual fee has been paid from his own bank/firm or company owned by him, in a covering letter signed by him. Provisions under GCCI Constitution will be considered final with regards to all above information. 17. GCCI Constitution Clause 6 provides for credit of enrollment fee to capital fund account to be used as Corpus Fund only against new development capital expenditure.
