This year s seminar, FTZs: Competitiveness & Compliance in Global Trade, will equip operator/users and grantees to expand production and exports and attract investment through the FTZ program. The program will include key officials from Tampa and Washington, D.C., including Andrew McGilvray, Executive Secretary of the FTZ Board, and Paul Anderson, the Tampa Port Director. At this critical juncture for the program, the 2015 Spring Seminar will be the place for comparing best practices and learning of new developments at CBP and the FTZ Board. New to this year s program is an Advanced Track that will drill more deeply into specialized topics. The Tuesday track will cover Limiting Exposure: How and When to File Prior Disclosures & Responses to Liquidated Damage Cases, Zone-to-Zone Transfers, and Advanced Benefits: FTZ Scrap, Waste and Destruction. General Session discussions will include 3PLs are Using FTZs More Find Out Why and Making Sense of FTZs: Dollars and Cents. Specialty tracks for operator/users will explore such topics as Day to Day Automation Issues ACE Initiatives and the e214 Handbook and FTZ Scope of Production Authority: The Ins & Outs. The grantee track will feature New Tools to Create an FTZ Cost-Benefit Analysis. And a 1.5 day Fundamentals of FTZs track will feature presentations by Accredited Zone Specialists for those new to the program.
