User Forum Speakers Chris Boruff Morningstar, Inc. As president of Morningstar Advisor Software, Boruff oversees the strategy, development, and marketing of products for financial advisors.

Boruff graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in economics and psychology. Prior to joining Morningstar, he worked in Arthur Andersen s Tax Technology Group.

A long-tenured employee at Morningstar, he previously served as a senior mutual fund analyst, equity analyst, director of exchange-traded security analysis, editor of Morningstar ETFInvestor, and

Jeffrey Ptak, CFA Morningstar Investment Services, Inc. Ptak is chief investment officer for Morningstar Investment Services, Inc. A long-tenured employee at Morningstar, he previously served as a senior mutual fund analyst, equity analyst, director of exchange-traded security analysis, editor of Morningstar ETFInvestor, and investment manager in Morningstar Investment Services. Ptak graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison with a degree in accounting and is a CFA charter holder and a certified public accountant. William Strauss Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago Strauss serves as a senior economist and economic advisor for the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. He joined the Federal Reserve in 1982 and his current responsibilities include analyzing the performance of the Midwest economy and the manufacturing sector for use in monetary policy. Strauss also teaches at the University of Chicago and DePaul University. He received a B.A. in economics from SUNY and an M.A. in economics from Northwestern University.
