Stat (1949 rev., s.1838; PA (3,4); PA (9); PA (3, 15); PA (21,166); PA (f); PA (4,10); PA (37); PA (30); PA (3); PA (5) Tax Collector of the City of Norwalk, Connecticut: Having made lawful demand for the payment of taxes and other charges due me as the Tax Collector of the City of Norwalk, and payment having been neglected and refused, I SOLD AT PUBLIC AUCTION the following described properties, separately, to satisfy taxes, interest and all charges accrued thereon. SAID SALE took place in the Norwalk Concert Hall, 125 East Avenue, Norwalk, Connecticut, on Monday, July 23, 2018 beginning on or about 5 pm. The Tax Collector s Office collected more than $5 million from November 2017 to July 2018 on properties included in the tax sale. THE REDEMPTION PERIOD FOR THE FOLLOWING PROPERTIES WILL EXPIRE ON WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 23, IF REDEMPTION DOES NOT TAKE PLACE BY THE DATE SPECIFIED ABOVE, AND IN THE MANNER PROVIDED BY LAW, THE DELINQUENT TAXPAYER, AND ALL MORTGAGEES, LIENHOLDERS AND OTHER RECORD ENCUMBRANCERS WHO HAVE RECEIVED ACTUAL OR CONSTRUCTIVE NOTICE OF SUCH SALE AS PROVIDED BY LAW, SHALL HAVE THEIR RESPECTIVE TITLES, MORTGAGES, LIENS, RESTRAINTS ON ALIENATION, AND OTHER ENCUMBRANCES IN SUCH PROPERTY, EXTINGUISHED. DEEDS WILL BE FILED ON JANUARY 24, Additional information may be found in section of the Connecticut General Statutes. Tax sale results were finalized once bids were perfected and the City received final payment of the purchase price. Note that the City of Norwalk does NOT keep the overbid, regardless of what happens with the property. Properties were offered and were sold as follows: 1. (1.) The City also offered for sale 11 (quantity) boat slips (marina slip units) located at 10 Platt Street, Norwalk, CT, identified as follows: 7 quantity properties assessed from 10/01/2007 through 10/01/2017, presently in the name of Greyrock at Oysterbend, LLC, to satisfy taxes, interest and other charges of $3,000 each. Additional taxes and charges were due on these marina slip units but they were offered at a reduced price since this was the fourth tax sale on these properties. Each property described as 10 Platt Street, District 3 Block 6 Lot 10, and each further identified by the suffix MSA 1, 2, 3, 4, 31, 36, and 39, and each more fully described in the Norwalk Land Records, Vol Page 38. Also, 4 quantity properties assessed from 10/1/2007 through 10/1/2017, presently in the name of East Greyrock LLC, to satisfy taxes, interest and other charges of $3,000 each. Additional taxes and charges were due on these marina slip units but they were offered at a reduced price since this was the fourth tax sale on these properties. Each property described as 10 Platt Street, District 3 Block 6 Lot 10 and each further identified by the suffix MSC 1, 2, 11, and 12; and each more fully described in the Norwalk Land Records, Vol, 4604 Page 273. The City sold all 11 of the offered marina slip units to the following, as there were no other bidders: 10 boat slips were sold to Dennis Brandt Nye, 16 Platt Street #2, Norwalk, CT as follows: MSC 1, MSC 12, MSA 2 and MSA 31 for $1,500 EACH; MSC 2, MSC 11, MSA 3 for $3,000 EACH; MSA 1 and MSA 39 for $750 EACH; MSA 36 for $2,000. MSA 4 was sold to Marine Unit Norwalk LLC, 43 Turkey Plain Rd Bethel CT 06801, for $3,000. Potential bidders were advised of the existence of environmental contaminants at the 10 Platt Street properties. The redemption period for all of the above properties expires on January 23, The City made no representations or guarantees about any property.
