Employees shall be responsible for all examination fees, expenses for any study materials, and expenses for any continuing education credits necessary for recertification by IS. The Department shall be responsible for paying the employee's annual!s membership and recertification fees. Upon bonafide proof of payment, the Department shall promptly reimburse the employee for such expenses. Smployees must give immediate written notice whenever their certification is lost, expired, or renewed, and will be returned to precertification pay until current certification is established.

Employees occupying positions in the classification of Electric Distribution Mechanic Supervisor (Class Code 3873), identified by DDR Numbers ~~ 38118, 9~ 381~0, ~ , , and shall receive a retention incentive of five (5)' percent of thei" base wage, which increase shall be reflected in the cost of living adjustment calculations under ppendices -1, -2, and Smployeea occupying certain supervisory positions at DWP (see ppendix G), who have at least five (5) but less than t en (10) continuous years :i.n that position, or in that position combined with the journey level position in the same class series, shall receive a longevity aalary adjustment of 2.5 percent, which shall become part of their base wage. Incumbents with ten (10) or more continuous years in one of the above supervisory positions, or a combination of the supervisory anq journey level positions in the same class series, snall receive. an additional longevity salary adjustment of 2.5 percent for a total adjustment of five (5) percent which shall become part of their base wage. ~3. one person in a classification represented by IEW, when designated to represent ISW as the dministrator to the Joint Safety Institute (JSI) shall, while assigned to perform such JSI dministrator duties, be compensated at.the fifth (5w) step of the "III" level Salary Range (DDR No ) established for the class of Electrical Services Manager (Class Code 5265), enabling the individual to remain in the bargaining unit during such assignment while being compensated at the Electrical Services Manager III salary level. The provisions of t~is footnote shall be effective October 1, One person in a classification represented by IEW, when designated to represent IW as the dministrator to the Joint Training rnstitute (JTI) shall, while assigned to perform such JTI dministrator duties, be compensated at the fifth (5~) step of the "III" level Salary Range (DDR No ) established for the class of Electrical Services Manager (Class Code 5265), enabling the individual to remain in the bargaining unit during such assignment while being compensated at the Electrical Services Manager III salary level. The provisions of this footnote shall be effective October 1, 2002.

Effective January 16, 2003, one person in a classification in this bargaining unit, when designated by mutual agreement of LDWP and IEW, Local 18 as the Joint Labor/Management Committees' (JLMC) Coordinator, shall, while assigned to perform such JLMC Coordinator duties, be compensated at a monthly wage that is percent greater than that person's regular base monthly wage, including longevity compensation (if any); provided, however, that such additional compensation shall not exceed the highest base wage, including longevity compensation (if any), for a classification represented by IEW, Local 18; and further provided that this footnote shall terminate on September 13, Employees in the class of Electric Distribution Mechanic Supervisor (Class Code 3873) shall receive a daily rate premium of fifteen percent (15%) while performing transmission duties utilizing Human External Cargo (HEC) methods.
