2 CONTEXT AND METHODOLOGICAL APPROACH CONTEXT Léger was commissioned by the Montreal Economic Institute (MEI) to conduct a study among Quebeckers to obtain their opinion on tax reductions announced by the Quebec Minister of Finance during his recent financial update. METHODOLOGY Web Survey From January 8 to January residents of Quebec, aged 18 or over and able to speak French or English Using data from Statistics Canada, the results were weighted by sex, age, mother tongue and regions to make the sample representative of the entire population under study. For comparison, a representative study of 1,012 respondents would have an overall margin of error of ± 3.1%. Notes for reading the report: Please note that the numbers presented have been rounded. However, it is the numbers before rounding that are used to calculate the sums presented. Thus, the sums may not correspond to the manual addition of the numbers presented. 2
