3 Introduction The Westy profile has been created combing the following geographical areas outlined in the map which area called Lower Super Output Areas (LSOA). Were data has been unavailable at LSOA level the statistics have been provided at ward level which is Latchford East. The LSOA named E has not been used within the calculation as the only part of this which fall within the Westy Big Local boundary is Victoria Park which contains only one residential property which has not been included. This is used as guidance to see which local authority areas are more deprived than others. IMD is measured in each of the lower super output area (LSOA) across England and ranks each LSOA according to how deprived it is compared to the others with 1 being the highest (most deprived) and 32,482 being the least deprived in the country. The Fuel poverty ratio is defined as: Fuel poverty ratio = fuel costs (modelled consumption x price) income. If this ratio is greater than 0.1 then the household is Fuel Poor. The fuel poverty ratio shows that fuel poverty can be considered to be an interaction of three main factors: The energy efficiency of the dwelling (affecting the numerator). The cost of energy (affecting the numerator); and Household income (affecting the denominator).
