2 Jordan Jordan is undergoing a transformation into an international business hub centering the Middle East. Such a transition may be attributed to: Political and macro-economical stability. Well directed and skilled work force. Good infrastructure; including adequate utilities and transport systems. Large regional markets. Optimum geographical location.

3 Healthcare in Jordan Jordan has an advanced health care systems. The first kidney transplant was performed in Jordan in 1972, and the first heart transplant in 1985 at the Royal Medical Services (RMS), while living-related liver transplants started in 2004 at Jordan Hospital and RMS.

4 Health Expenditures The percentage of health expenditure from national GDP is about 9.6%; 5.6% of national GDP can be traced back to the private sector.

12 Quality of Care Medical services are provided according to recognized international standards, and the accreditation culture is spreading among Jordan hospitals.

13 Health Care Accreditation Council (HCAC) HCAC is an accreditation organization established in 2007 to foster the continuous improvement of the quality and safety of health care facilities, services and programs through developing internationally accepted standards, capacity building and awarding accreditation. Late 2007 HCAC receives ISQua accreditation of HCAC Hospital Standards. HCAC chose 27 hospitals to prepare them for national accreditation.
