This implies that the unspent balance lying with the State Governments as on 1 st April, 2016 from the releases made during , is fe! be adjusted while sanctioning grant-in-aid during The adjustment would be possible only if the States/UTs submit information on the unspent balance lying with.llem as on 1 st April, 2016 from the releases made during As per the extant procedure, the grant-in-aid under Mid Day Meal Schem ~ is released to the States/UTs in two installments in the ratio of 60:40, Keeping in view t at it would not be possible for the States/UTs to submit information on unspent balancej' am the previous year's releases by 1 st April of the next financial year, this Departmen' has bifurcated the first installment into ad-hoc and balance of first instalh The ad-hoc release is made immediately at the commencement of next FY without asking for the unspent balance from the releases of previous year so tha,t the implementation of the scheme in the States/UTs goes on smoothly. The balance 35% of the first installment is released after receiving information on the component lise unspent balance from the previous year's releases. '
