1 By-law A By-law of the City of Greater Sudbury to Amend By-law being a By-law to Establish Miscellaneous User Fees for Certain Services provided by the City of Greater Sudbury Whereas the Council of the City of Greater Sudbury deems it desirable to amend By-law being a By-Law to Establish Miscellaneous User Fees for Certain Services Provided by the City of Greater Sudbury; follows: Now therefore the Council of the City of Greater Sudbury hereby enacts as 1. By-law , being a By-law to Establish Miscellaneous User Fees for Certain Services Provided by the City of Greater Sudbury is hereby amended by (a) (b) (c) (d) (e) (f) repealing Schedule "A" and enacting, in its place and stead, Schedule "A" attached hereto as Schedule "A" and forming part of this By-law; repealing Schedule "AC&L-16" and enacting, in its place and stead, Schedule "AC&L-16" attached hereto as Schedule "B" and forming part of this By-law; adding Schedule "AS-7" attached hereto as Schedule "C" and forming part of this By-law, immediately following Schedule "AS-& and before Schedule "FN-1"; repealing Schedule "IS-1" and enacting, in its place and stead, Schedule "IS-1" attached hereto as Schedule "0" and forming part of this By-law; repealing Schedule "IS-3" and enacting, in its place and stead, Schedule "IS-3" attached hereto as Schedule "E" and forming part of this By-law; repealing Schedule "ED-1" and enacting, in its place and stead, Schedule "ED-1" attached hereto as Schedule "F" and forming part of this By-law. 2. 4 Schedule "B" Schedule "AC&L-16" To By-Law Transit Page 1 of 1 "Adult" means a person 18 years of age or older other than a Student, a Senior or a Disability Pensioner "Annual Pass" means a current and valid Annual Pass issued by the City of Sudbury to a Disability Pensioner "Infant" means a person who is under the age of 5 years; "Child" means a person who is 5 years of age or older and who is no taller than 60 inches "Disability Pensioner" means a person who is a recipient of a Disability Pension from the Province of Ontario, a Canada Disability Pension, a War Veteran's Pension or who is registered with the Canadian Institute for the Blind, as confirmed by the appropriate authority; "Senior" means a person who is 65 years of age or older; "Student" means a person who presents a current and valid student identification card from a high school or a post secondary educational institution "Affordable Pass" means a person that qualifies for the Affordable Transit Pass program, administered through the Social Services department. Passes are limited and sold on a first come, first serve basis. "Day Pass" is a bus pass that can be used for an unlimited number of trips by a single rider for one full service day only. The pass cannot be shared or re-distributed. "Family Pass" is a bus pass that can be used for an unlimited number of trips for up to five riders (no more than two of which are Adults) for one full service day only. The pass cannot be shared or re-distributed. Type of Application Cash Fares* Adults/Students Infant Child, Disability Pensioner, Senior (Disability Pensioners and Seniors must produce valid Transit Photo I.D. when paying a reduced fare) 5 or 10 Bus Ride Card Prices (Price Per Ride With The Purchase of 5 or 10 Ride Cards) Adults/Students Infant Child, Disability Pensioner, Senior (Disability Pensioners and Seniors must produce valid Transit Photo I.D. when using a reduced fare card) *Note: Free bus service is provided from 10:30 PM on New Year's Eve to 3:30AM on New Year's Day Special cash fare of $1.00 per person, applicable for shuttle bus service on Canada Day only 31 Day Bus Passes Adults (must produce a valid Transit Adult Photo I. D. card at time of use) Students (must produce a valid Transit Student Photo I. D. card at time of use) Disability Pensioners/Seniors (must produce a valid Transit Special Photo I.D. card at time of use) Affordable Pass (all eligible recipients must produce valid proof of receipt upon purchase and a valid Transit Adult Photo I. D. card at time of use) Employer Pass (effective March 1, 2016) A discounted Adult 31 day pass based on a bulk purchase from one employer (minimum commitment of 6 consecutive months). Discounts are per pass using the following scale (based on volume of passes purchased): = 5% (or $4.20); = 10% (or $8.40); = 15% (or $12.60); = 20% (or $16.80); 500+ = 30% (or $25.20) Photo I. D. Cards Adult/Senior (one time purchase) Student (photo valid for four years from date of purchase - must provide proof of enrollment each year) Special (expires four years from date of purchase) Charter Bus Service (includes total operating cost per hour) U-Pass Other Bus Passes (Effective June 1, 2016) Day Pass Family Pass Handi-Transit Cash Fares, 5 or 10 Ride Cards, and 31 Day Pass pricing noted above in effect for Handi-Transit users. Photo 1.0. cards are not required for reduced fare usage on the Handi-Transit system. Ride Cards and 31 Day Passes are non-transferrable between Greater Sudbury Transit and the Handi-Transit systems. Vendors Greater Sudbury Transit ride card and 31 day pass vendors receive a discount of 1% on the purchase of fare media for re-sale to the public.
