Estimated regression models of the effects of schooling years, gender, age and other socio-economic variables on the likelihood of an individual finding a job requiring basic, advanced or specialist ICT skills. This analysis was performed using the World Bank s STEP skills survey data for 11 develoing countries.

2 Barriers to Labor Force Participation of Young Women in Egypt Performed data analysis ILO s School to Work Transition Survey 2014 (SWTS) in STATA to assist in writing a report on the state of young women in the Egyptian Labor Market since the Arab spring. Contributed written chapters and literature review for the study funded by the Center for Middle Easter Public Policy (CMEPP) at RAND. Modelling Future Availability of US Family Care for Dementia. Project Primary Computational Modeller Programmed a demographic microsimulation model in R based on the outputs of UC Berkeley s SOCSIM model population. Used the RAND Health and Retirement Study (HRS) to estimate a logistic model for dementia probability which I used to assign dementia status to the SOCSIM population. I calibrated and tested the models by computing and comparing survival rates of model outputs with the US population s mortality figures. I projected the demand for dementia care into 2060 for this model. Created R-Markdown files (knitted into HTML or PDF documents) to present model results to project team as well as for subsequent academic journal submissions. Project Programmer II Assisted in programming a microsimulation model of child maltreatment and abuse in America in R towards assessing the impact of current (at the time) policy regimes on the foster care system. Parametrized the entire model by using literature as well as statistical techniques to calculate model transition rates within the simulation system. Contributed R functions to add population to our model as well as used benchmarking packages to minimize run time of our model to improve computational performance. Wrote the methodological chapter of the final report. Modelling Urban Responses to Climate Change Project Microsimulation Modeller Used model simulation results (transportation economics) to predict a dense set of green house gas (GHG) futures and travel futures (vehicle miles travelled (VMT) and trips per capita) of residents in the Sacramento area. Wrote mathematical algorithms in R to shift and transform age-income brackets to form new VMT distributions based on elastic changes in such independent variables as gas prices, toll fees and parking prices. Used scenario discovery techniques as well as Principal Component Analysis (PCA) data mining techniques to examine these dense sets of emission and travel futures. This showed the team the vulnerabilities within the independent variable space in achieving future emission and travel behavior targets.

3 EaSM Biodiversity Project Project Team Member Used a set of bioclimatic models predicting the future location of species to generate scenario discovery results to assist policy makers selecting in present-day robust policies given their future expectation of the location of 4 endangered species living along the LA river basin. This analysis was carried out exclusively in R. CISNET CRC Microsimulation Project Assisted in the modelling, programming and development of the Colorectal Cancer Simulated Population model for Incidence and Natural History (CRCSPIN) R Package which will be released (still under development). Created automated statistical reports using R-Markdown for quality publication outputs. Used Amazon Web Services (AWS) to carry out cloud computing for several thousand model runs towards applying robust decision making (RDM) techniques for deciphering the best cancer screening procedures. COMPARE: Modelling 2016/2017 US Health System Reforms Research Project Programmer Simulated specific policy scenarios upon request of the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation of the US Department for Health and Human Services towards making changes to Obamacare. Wrote R functions to perform the needed sensitive analysis on COMPARE model outputs. INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCE Conducted independent academic research on economic impacts of Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) in African countries towards providing technical evidence-based support to African governments in this area. Provided technical support to the New Technologies and Innovation Section (NTIS) at UNECA on its departmental projects by spearheading data collection and statistical/mathematical modeling and drafting chapters, policy briefs and research reports. Published independently and co-authored scholarly output. Assisted in the organization of Senior Experts Dialogues (SEDs), Expert Group Meetings (EGM) and participated as a referee on the African Economic Conference (AEC).

4 Assigned to the Family Planning and Reproductive Health Commodity Security Country Program of the UNFPA Nigeria Country office. Provided technical support for reproductive and maternal health surveys on health facilities as well as provided statistical programming support in analysis for Health Commodity Review and Resupply meetings, GIS mapping of Health facilities and other projects. Co-authored publications in the Global Family Planning Conference in Geneva. Provided data modelling support to other UNFPA Nigeria country programs such as the Youth and Development as well as Maternal and Reproductive Health Teams. Provided further assistance in drafting project proposals, aligning goals, targets and indicators for monitoring and evaluation of projects.
