2 Welcome to Portfolio Health Check Portfolio Health Check is the only analysis that shows you where your stock portfolio is headed in the next 3-6 months. As a subscriber, you can use powerful analytics once available only to professionals. This guide is designed to help you understand and interpret your weekly Portfolio Health Check Report. Prices and symbols are as of the close on Friday. 2

3 Power Gauge Rating At the core of Portfolio Health Check is the Chaikin Power Gauge Rating. The Chaikin Power Gauge Rating is a remarkably accurate indicator of where stocks are headed over the next 3-6 months. Based on an unbiased, 20-factor model, the Rating allows you to check the overall strength of a stock. In mere seconds, the model analyzes masses of data and distills it into remarkably accurate ratings, green for bullish, red for bearish, yellow for neutral. 3

4 Prognosis The Prognosis tells you the health of your portfolio based on the Chaikin Power Gauge Rating for each stock on your Watchlist. How many of your stocks have a bullish Power Gauge Rating thus likely to outperform the market over the next 3 6 months; and How many of your stocks have a bearish Power Gauge Rating thus likely to underperform the market over the next 3 6 months. These stocks warrant closer scrutiny. The Prognosis also compares the overall health of your portfolio to that of the Chaikin Investor Community. 4

7 Earnings Surprises Earnings Surprises highlight the most bullish or bearish earnings surprises reported last week for the stocks in your portfolio. Earnings surprises lead Wall Street analysts to revise their Earnings Per Share (EPS) estimates. This in turn has a big influence over nearterm price movements. Estimate Revisions Estimate Revisions highlight the largest analyst earnings estimate revisions both up and down over the past 30 days. Changes in analyst EPS estimates can strongly influence near-term price movements. 7

8 Earnings Reports this Week This section shows the dates on which the stocks on your list will report earnings in the upcoming week. The price volatility associated with quarterly earnings reports creates both risk and opportunity for investors. 8

9 Chaikin Power Grid The Chaikin Power Grid displays your portfolio in a 4-quadrant view, breaking down your stocks and their related industry groups, ranked by weakest to strongest Chaikin Power Gauge Rating. The arc in the first column displays a green, yellow or red arc which signifies a stock s Chaikin Power Gauge Rating.
