Source: FactSet, Macquarie Research, December 2016 (all figures in AUD unless noted) 15 December 2016 Macquarie Securities (Australia) Limited Highlights its funding flexibility Event Eclipx has announced a $330m securitisation, its third securitisation of motor vehicle operating leases. Impact Resetting the balance sheet. This transaction lowers the cost of funds for the securitised assets and will provide increased capacity in its warehouses for future growth. Macquarie understands levels of credit support were in line with previous transactions. We believe Eclipx's warehouse funding structure, where ~80% of the funding is in the form of AA and above rated security, is well placed to withstand ructions in credit markets and places Eclipx in a strong competitive position. This transaction will add to the $474m in cash and undrawn facilities that Eclipx had access to as of 30 September. Pricing solid. The top tranche ($66m) is priced at 70bp over BBSW and the main tranche ($165m) is priced at 120bp over. This pricing compares favourably to the recent AFG securitisation where the top tranche priced at 65bp ($50m of $300m) over and the second tranche ($220m) priced at 130bp over. Importantly (considering the impending APS 120 implementation) all bonds below Aaa were sold to non-bank investors. Outlook solid. Eclipx is targeting over 10% growth (Macquarie 10.2%) in assets under management in FY17 and further cost-to-income ratio improvements. Overall NPATA guidance for FY17 is for 18-21% growth, implying organic growth of ~10% in the leasing businesses (before R2D). Annual vehicle funding commitments in Australia have grown from $18.1bn in CY00 at a CAGR of 4.2% to $33.4bn in CY15. Currently, commitments growth is running at 10.1% in the year to October Earnings and target price revision No change. Price catalyst 12-month price target: A$4.22 based on a PER methodology. Catalyst: Earnings and new business wins. Action and recommendation Outperform retained. This transaction highlights the considerable funding flexibility available to Eclipx compared to its peer group.
