Box 1963, Boise, Idaho, INSTRUCTIONS & JURYAPPLICATION Dates for the 2018 Street Fair: September 14 th, 15 th & 16 th Times: Fri-4pm-9: 30pm, Sat-10am-9: 30pm, Sun-10am-6pm Location: Camel s Back Park-13th & Heron, Boise, Idaho Application Deadline: June 1, 2018 Notification Sent: July 2, 2018 PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY! Booth Payments- TWO (2) SEPARATE checks- 1. APPLICATION FEE (Non-refundable-$40.00) 2. BOOTH FEE. Checks payable to: North End Neighborhood Association (NENA) - NO POSTED DATED CHECKS NENA reserves the right to deny any application. Failure to appear or leaving before festival closing or improper behavior during the festival may result in exclusion from all further festivals. Vendors who are not accepted will have their Booth fee ONLY refunded. All application fee checks must be same day bankable. ANY RETURNED CHECK IS SUBJECT TO A $25.00 ADDITIONAL CHARGE. (Remember, there may be a long period before checks are cashed!) Cancellation Policy-After the acceptance date, cancelled booths will have their checks returned ONLY IF THAT BOOTH SPACE CAN BE FILLED. No booth fees for cancellations will be returned if made within two (2) weeks of the festival. 1

2 All applications received without adequate postage may be RETURNED. No tobacco or related products, paraphernalia, weapons or knife booths will be accepted. Applications received after the June 1st deadline will be juried AFTER all other vendors and ONLY if there is remaining space. Co-op booths are allowed ONLY if original vendor on application charges no additional fee and by approval of festival producers. CORNER & ELECTRICAL BOOTH SPACES ARE LIMITED. If your booth can do without power, or if you have alternate power, your chance of acceptance will be greater. The fair will be open after dark, so alternate lighting is required for those not purchasing power. Solar or batteries are suggested. Fuel-powered generators must be approved in advance. No Open Flames. (Glass Blowers will need to obtain an OPEN BURNING PERMIT) All merchandise must be kept within the confines of booth space. All first time vendors MUST include photos of booth and merchandise. In accordance with Boise Parks & Recreation rules, tent stakes are not allowed for any tents under 20x20. ABOVE GROUND WEIGHTS (Water Weights or Sandbags appropriate for tent size). Failure to comply with this park regulation may result in exclusion from the fair. Please remember, it tends to get very windy at times during the fair. FOOD VENDORS must submit a FULL MENU, including prices and copies of ALL applicable licenses in addition to fees & photos with their application. There is no guarantee of exclusiveness on food items, although every effort 2

3 will be made to avoid repetition. New food vendors must submit a photo of their booth. All menus will be approved as submitted prior to acceptance. No changes to menu or pricing will be allowed after acceptance. (This includes any and all items featured on Daily Special menu boards.) All food vendors are responsible for proper disposal of waste material. Improper disposal WILL result in a FINE established by Boise City Parks & Recreation. IN ADDITION to Application and Booth fees, all food and beverage vendors will pay 15% of gross sales at the NENA booth by 7pm Sunday (9/16/2018) after festival closing. Please have your register tape available for confirmation. Failure to comply with this provision will result in exclusion for further festivals. NO VEHICLES ARE ALLOWED IN THE PARKING LOT OR GRASS FOR LOADING AND UNLOADING! If you drive on the grass, you will be subject to an additional fee for damages. PARKING IS EXTREMELY LIMITED! Food vendors will be provided with LIMITED parking permits for the food court. ALL OTHER VENDORS-Parking will be provided, with shuttle service, from The Pursuit parking lot on Bogus Basin Road on Thursday and Friday and from the Healthwise parking lot on Bogus Basin Road on Saturday and Sunday. Parking passes will be issued at check in. One space will be provided for each vendor, unless other arrangements are made IN ADVANCE with the fair organizers. VENDORS WITH LARGE TRUCKS AND/OR TRAILERS MUST USE THE PROVIDED LOTS! (Failure to comply may result in loss of booth space.) A setup schedule will be provided to all vendors. PLEASE follow this schedule! Hyde Park Street Fair is an ecologically friendly event. Please pack out your 3

4 own trash and use recyclable items. Cardboard and other refuse should be recycled! ALL VENDORS MUST REMOVE ALL THEIR MATERIALS, TENTS, ETC. FROM THE PARK IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE CLOSE OF THE FAIR. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN CITY FINES AND EXCLUSION FROM FURTHER FAIRS. Complete your application and make sure your TWO SEPARATE CHECKS are made payable and sent to: NENA P.O. Box 1963 Boise, ID Your package must include: check for $40 application fee, check for booth, Photo of booth (if applicable) and description, Menu, photo and copies of all licenses for food vendors and a copy of your application. Vendors will not hold NENA, Hyde Park Street Fair, the city of Boise, Gruntwerks Productions, participants, directors, volunteers or employees responsible for claims, damages or expenses before, during or after the event. Your signature on this application constitutes agreement with all the provisions of this document.
