1 International Export Marketing Program Overview: Where is the demand in the international markets? Which markets are growing? Who is competing to serve these markets? What are the market access conditions? How to position your product in such markets? These are questions to address the current trade environment, and this course is designed to answer these questions with the aim of selecting the promising markets and identifying the exports opportunities. Learning Objectives: - Identifying the main concepts and methodologies in marketing research for export - Understand the fundamentals of marketing research for export - Understand the development of international trade - Identify the main sources of trade information for international markets and ways of analyzing it - Know how to select the target market Course content: - Export market research - Analyzing and interpretation of data - Trade map database - Market access map - Readiness to Export: SWOT analysis - Export Costing & Pricing - Export Marketing Plan & Entry Strategies Program Overview: Free Trade agreements In light of the Government of Egypt s direction to enhance trade climate in Egypt, Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) has become a significant topic since it offers trade benefits and advantages. FTAs act as a tool to enhance trade relations and facilitate access of goods, technology and services going hand in hand with overall goal of improving national income and increasing job opportunities. It is worth noting that both bilateral and regional FTAs work on facilitating access to foreign markets and tend to offer some measures to protect infant industries from being overtaken by foreign competitors
2 In order to benefit from the FTAs, Egyptian firms and investors should be aware of the rules governing foreign trade, as well as the advantages and tools of FTAs.
