The Government has lkewse made provson for a premum whch s pad to producers n respect of all quanttes sold. 2. Levels of guaranteed prces or support prces The mnmum purchase prce s fxed per unt of fat content at the rate of 2.24 US cents, whch corresponds to USOCO.64 per,000 ltres of mlk wth a 3.6 per cent fat content. 3. Amount of producer subsdes The premum s pad at the rate of 2.A cents per ltre.e. ">24 per,000 ltres. There s no lmt on producton, and the premum s pc.d regardless of the manner of consumpton (whether fresh or n the form of dary products). 4. Average returns to producers Agrcultural producers have receved a prce above the mnmum prce, ncludng the premum. Producers' returns and premums have been as follows n the last three years : Mlk purchase prce premum (US."; per,000 ltres) I 966 Go. *> /..0U Total The unces and premums have been calculated on the bass of an exchange rate of 7.50 dnars to the dollar for I964, and 2.50 dnars to the dollar for 965 and 9,66.
