Sales Planning Project 3 Completing the Allstate Simple Life Needs Fact- Finder on Oneself and Another Person, and Providing a Quote for Allstate Basic Term SM or Allstate TrueFit Assigned Class 4 Due Class 6 Purpose In this project you will evaluate your life insurance need and that of another person (relative, friend, co- worker, customer or prospect). Are you neglecting your own life insurance needs or those of a loved one or friend? This project is meant to open your eyes to your own life insurance needs and those of another person, and to become familiar with the tools provided by Allstate for this purpose. After an insurance amount is agreed upon, provide prospect with a quote for Allstate Basic Term SM or Allstate TrueFit. Assignment Using the Allstate fact- finder, complete the information and determine the life insurance needs for yourself and someone else. Then get a quote for Allstate Basic Term SM or Allstate TrueFit based on a standard underwriting class. Procedure 1. Complete the fact- finder on yourself and someone else. You can tell them you are taking a course to improve your skills and you need to conduct a few surveys as an assignment to determine the amount of life insurance a person should have. Ask if they have 15 minutes to answer a few questions. 2. Term Quotes: Use the rate card for Allstate Basic Term SM (when the needed coverage is $50,000, $100,000 or $150,000) that can be found on Blackboard or though the isellfinancial link: hhtp:// A link to isellfinancial is also available in Gateway.

2 15 If you need a quote for an amount greater than $ 150,000 use the eclipse quoting software or contact the internal wholesale desk at , M- - - F 7:30 a.m. 6:00 p.m. Central time. When contacting the wholesaling desk, tell them you need help with an Allstate TrueFit quote for an ExCEL project and be prepared with the following required information. Do not request a copy of the illustration, get a verbal quote from the wholesaler and write down that information. (Anyone can help you. They will be expecting your call) Customer Date of Birth or Age Male or Female Rate Class Use the Standard No- - - Tobacco Rate Class Level Period 10 Years Needed Life Insurance Amount from the fact- finder Face Amount 3. Conduct the interview and record your results using the following report form. 4. Be prepared to discuss your findings in class.
