2 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS Intent It is the intent of to solicit sealed bids for a Trimble R6 Model 4 GNSS Rover and various accessories as specified on the attached sheet. In addition, GCRC has a used Trimble GPS Rover Model 5800 that is available for a trade-in credit against the new Trimble R6 unit. GCRC reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to award by item, combination of items or lot. A. All sealed bids will be received at the Office until 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 28, All bids will be opened publicly at this time. They will be opened in the Boardroom on the first Floor located at 211 West Oakley Street, Flint, MI B. All inquiries pertaining to the contractual nature of this bid can be directed to Joyce McClane, Purchasing Manager, at jmcclane@gcrc.org C. Bidders shall indicate on their bid response the date equipment will be available for delivery. D. The quoted price shall be the total dollar amount to include all delivery charges if any. (Note: GCRC is tax exempt.) E. Successful bidder(s) will be required to ship items to Receiving Department at the address listed below. F. 5 CONDITIONS 1. reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to award by item, combination of items or lot. 2. The omission of payment terms and/or other information on replies may subject it to disqualification. 3. The Michigan State Sales and use taxes and the Federal excise tax do not apply. Exemption certificates will be furnished where necessary. 4. Unless otherwise provided, acceptance shall constitute the contract. 5. In case the bidder fails to make delivery of any item or items within the terms herein specified, or shall make delivery of goods not in accordance with the terms and specifications, the shall have the right to declare the order canceled and either accept the next lowest bid or again advertise for bids and to hold the original bidder liable for the difference between the amount of its bid and the amount that the Board shall in either of such cases be required to pay, or the Genesee County Road Commission may elect to receive the item or items not delivered within the time and hold the bidder responsible for an amount equal to ten percent of the amount bid on such items as liquidated damages for the delay, and said bidder in such cases agrees to make payment accordingly. 6. Instructions, manufacturer s catalog numbers, etc., where shown herein, are for descriptive purposes to guide the bidder in interpreting the standard of quality, design and performance desired and shall not be construed to exclude proposals bases on furnishing other types of materials or services. However, any substitutions or departure proposed by bidder must be clearly noted and described; otherwise, it will be understood the bid intends to exactly meet the specifications. 7.
