The following contractors have offered, and we have accepted, an extension of their contracts scheduled to expire June 30, 2005 for an additional six months (through December 31, 2005) or, until a new contract is issued, whichever is first. Contract Numbers and Contractors: PC Cascade Water Services, Inc. PC Feedwater Treatment Systems, Inc. NOTE: For Item 33 in Zone 2, Cascade Water Services, Inc. is substituting Cascade C803L in place of Cascade C804L for the same price. Feedwater Treatment Systems, Inc. did not extend the contract prices on Items 9, 10 and 14 in Zone 1. These items are to be purchased on the open market. All other terms and conditions of the above contracts remain unchanged. Please audit all purchase orders and invoices accordingly. TO ALL CONTRACT USERS: PLEASE BE ADVISED OF THE FOLLOWING SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED UNDER THE ABOVE REFERENCED CONTRACTS COMPLETE TECHNICAL AND SUPERVISORY SERVICE FOR AGENCY SYSTEMS For each Agency in each Region, price of chemicals should include the cost of providing complete technical and supervisory service, test kits, test reagents, etc., including service as described below: 1. Supply all specified chemicals 2. Provide a monthly service call to all Agency systems for which chemicals are being supplied, for example steam generating systems, recirculating hot and cold water systems, cooling towers etc. 3. Respond to an Agency emergency call within a 24 hour period. 4. Train Agency personnel in the proper use and addition of chemicals to the systems. 5. Provide Agency with adequate basic start-up procedures. 6. Assume responsibility for the supervision and oversight of the injection of all chemicals into the steam generating system, via automatic injection equipment, by-pass pumps, etc., to be provided by the Agency. Provide laboratory analyses of water samples, and scale samples, as required to insure that the objectives of the water treatment program are achieved. Contractor must have access to a laboratory which has the capability of providing analyses of all elements and compounds associated with steam generation systems. 8. Offer technical and laboratory support and special services to deal with unusual problems or situations. This shall include, for example, doing corrosion coupon studies, checking operation of deaerator via oxygen monitoring equipment etc. 9. Be responsible for taking readings of various chemical concentrations, and for on-the-spot testing of samples, during the regular monthly service call. 10. Issue a written report, following each service call, with recommendations and comments, to the Agency's stationary engineer. Note: Service report must give sufficient test information (e.g. chloride levels in boiler water, make-up water, feedwater and condensate return), so that all parties concerned, including OGS reviewer can easily determine the cycles of concentration, at which each individual boiler is operating, and the % of the feed water which is made up of condensate return, at time of monthly service call. 11. Oversee the Agency's supply of chemicals, so that Agency will not experience shortages nor maintain more than a three month supply of any chemical.
