1 Gloucester Protection Camp CAMP RELEASE, WAIVER AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT In return for the use today and on all future dates of the property facilities and services of the FARM, the VISITOR, his heirs and legal representatives, hereby expressly agree to the following; 1. The VISITOR agrees to assume ANY AND ALL RISK INVOLVED IN OR ARISING FROM THE VISITOR S USE OF OR PRESENCE UPON THE FARM S PROPERTY AND FACILITIES including without limitations but not limited to, the risks of death, bodily injury, property damage, falls, kicks, bites, collisions with vehicles, animals or stationary objects, fire or explosion, the unavailability of emergency medical care or the negligence or deliberate act of another person. 2. The Visitor agrees to hold the Farm and all of its successors, assigns, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, employees and agents completely harmless and not liable and release them from all liability whatsoever on account of or in connection with any claims, causes of action, injuries, damages, cost or expenses arising out of Visitor s use of or presence upon the Farm s property and facilities, including without limitation, those based on death, bodily injury, property damage, including consequential damages, except if the damages are caused by the direct, wilful and wanton negligence of the Farm. 3. The Visitor agrees to indemnify the Farm or its agents against, and holds it harmless from, any and all claims, causes of action, damages, judgments, costs or expenses, including solicitor s fees, which in any way arises from the Visitor s use of or presence upon the Farm s property and facilities (except in reference to in (2) 4. This contract is non-assignable and non-transferable and is made and entered into in the State of New South Wales, and shall be enforced and interpreted under the laws of this State. Should any clause be in conflict with State Law, then that clause alone is null and void. 5. The Visitor understands and recognises and warrants that this Release and Hold Harmless Agreement is being voluntarily and intentionally signed and agreed to, and that this Release and Hold Harmless Agreement is a waiver of any and all liability(ies). 6. In consideration, therefore, the undersigned does hereby agree to Hold Harmless and Indemnify the Farm, as above stated, and further release the Farm and any organisations or individuals providing services to the Camp from any liability or responsibility for accident, damage, injury, death or illness to the undersigned or to any family member or spectator accompanying the undersigned on the premises. 7. For the purpose of this agreement Visitor means any entrant to the Gloucester Protector s Camp at Jack s Road, Gloucester, whether a day visitor or overnight visitor, and any guest or invitees of the Visitor. The Farm describes the owners or principal occupiers of the property listed as Landholder below. 3 Gloucester Protection Camp Peacefully resisting AGL s attempts to frack Gloucester Facebook: Gloucester Protection Camp #Protectgloucester Mission Statement The Gloucester Protection Camp has been initiated and established by Groundswell Gloucester to provide a base for Gloucester and Manning Valley residents and their many supporters from far and wide to undertake Non-Violent Direct Actions to resist and halt AGL s Gloucester Gas Project in the local area. We are taking a stand to protect our communities from coal seam gas exploration and extraction. The established risks of this industry to our air, our water and our health are great and the benefits to our communities are few. We do not want this dangerous industry in our neighbourhoods and we will continue to fight until our valleys are protected. Our commitment is non-violent and non-negotiable. Code of Conduct The Gloucester Protection Camp has been granted a Development Application approval by the Gloucester Shire Council to operate on a private landholder s land under strict conditions despite strenuous objections from pro-mining forces in the community and the Local Area Police Command. We are grateful of your support and ask that, as a condition of your registration at the Gloucester Protection Camp you make yourself fully aware of and abide by these consent conditions for the benefit of all involved. The Gloucester Protection Camp will operate under a peaceful, non-violent Code of Conduct and registered campers and visitors will be expected to; Behave peacefully at all times and never use insults, provocation or intimidation. Treat all people with respect at all times. This includes other camp participants, visitors, AGL staff and contractors, the police, the media, neutral observers and provocative nonsupporters. Take responsibility for your actions and remember that the things you say and do inside and outside the Camp will reflect on the whole group. Always act in accordance with the objectives of the Camp and treat the landholder s property with respect. Gloucester Protection Camp Code of Conduct

4 Camp Agreement Please help make our Camp a success by respecting the following agreement and Council consent conditions; All Camp participants need to provide their name and contact details and show photo ID if requested. We are obliged to ensure that everyone registered at the Camp is who they say they are. We are proud of our actions to protect our communities from CSG and none of us here are hiding our identities. Undertake the Induction tour and briefing as soon as possible after your arrival. Participate in a legal briefing as soon as possible after your arrival. Be prepared to contribute in some meaningful way. This is a working camp there are no passengers, we re all crew. We need lifters not leaners! Be responsible for your children. Domestic pets, unfortunately, are not permitted on site under the consent conditions. No alcohol or illegal drug use is allowed. Under no circumstances are weapons or illegal items to be brought on site. Decisions about the running of the Camp are made by the Management Committee operating under the consent conditions imposed by the local Council. Decisions about the running of protest actions will be made by consensus at daily meetings. Please remember, however, that the Gloucester campaign organisers retain control over the direction and strategy, including the nature and objectives of those actions. Please always behave in accordance with the Code of Conduct and Mission Statement for the Camp. If approached by the media please direct them to our media spokesperson. If approached by the police please direct them to our designated police liaison person. Remember that we have strict noise conditions imposed on the Camp. Please respect the rights of our neighbours to enjoy the amenity of their property without being disturbed.
