7 LEARN MORE ABOUT YOUR AIG TRAVEL GUARD! When does my TRAVEL GUARD coverage begin & end? Your TRAVEL GUARD coverage begins when your journey starts. Coverage ceases on whichever of the following occurs first: 1. the expiry of the period specified in the Policy; 2. the Insured Person s return to his/her permanent place of residence; Can I still add TRAVEL GUARD to my itinerary if I have a pre-existing condition? Yes! You can still add TRAVEL GUARD to your itinerary although you have a pre-existing condition if you are in good health to travel when you purchase the insurance. However, your policy will not cover the Pre-Existing Health Condition Pre-Existing Health Condition means: A. any illness, disease or other condition, including symptoms thereof suffered by the insured which in the one (1) year period before the policy issue date and time: 1. first manifested itself, worsened, became acute or exhibited symptoms which would have caused an ordinarily prudent person to seek diagnosis, care or treatment 2. required taking prescribed drugs or medicine, unless the condition for which the prescribed drug or medicine is taken remains controlled without any change in the required prescription 3. was treated by a qualified medical practitioner or treatment had been recommended by a qualified medical practitioner Does my TRAVEL GUARD Policy cover pregnancy-related matters? If you encounter an accident during your travel, simply call our 24-hour Emergency Assistance Hotline / and we will ensure that you get the necessary assistance. The Emergency Assistance Hotline is a call collect number so there will be no charge to you. In the event that you require hospital treatment due to an accident, please make sure you keep the original copies of your receipts to speed up your claims process. How do I file for a claim? To file for a claim, you would be required to download the Notice of Claim Form in the following link: The Notice of Claim Form also includes (a) Instruction on How to File a Claim and (b) Supporting Documents required to file a Claim.
