MAKEPEACE ISLAND BOOKINGS Please read, sign and fax or this signed agreement for confirmation of your prize booking to fax: +61 (07) or 2. THE PARTIES In these terms and conditions, the contracting Company is Makepeace Island (Operations) P/L, ACN , a company incorporated in and under the Laws of Queensland, Australia. We shall mean the Company. The client shall mean the person who won the prize as the Contracting client. Each person listed within the booking is a guest. You shall mean the client. 3. PRIZE INCLUSIONS Rate Inclusions: Exclusive and sole use of Makepeace Island for 2 adults and 2 children under 13 years of age staying for 2 nights Breakfast, lunch, dinner and refreshments daily with menus designed by our Executive Chef in collaboration with you Non alcoholic beverages Transfers from Noosa or Maroochydore Airports to Noosa Marina on arrival & departure River transfers between Makepeace Island & Noosa Marina, Lake Cooroibah, Northshore beaches and Noosa Heads Use of all Island activities, water-sports and facilities Use of all accommodation types including Sir Richard Branson s own private villa Fully hosted by professional managers Daily servicing of the property A sunset lake cruise A gourmet picnic for 4 on the secluded Northshore beaches A complimentary bottle of French champagne for mum 4. PRIZE CONDITIONS The following conditions apply to the prize: Provision is valid for 12 months from the date the winner is announced With the exception of pricing, our standard Terms and Conditions apply including the lodgment of a refundable credit card drawn security deposit. Blackout period apply during Christmas school holidays and Easter long weekend. Prize is valid for 2 adults and 2 children under 13 years of age staying for 2 nights. Children over the age of 12 will be charged an additional $ per child per night. 1 P age

2 Additional guests are welcome and will be charged at the rates stated in section 7 of the island s standard terms and conditions. Prize is non-redeemable for cash Bookings are subject to availability. Bookings should be via to res@makepeaceisland.com 5. DATE CHANGE POLICY Any date changes by the client must be provided in writing to Makepeace Island. Date changes will not be permitted less than 60 days prior to the arrival date. 6. CANCELLATION POLICY Any cancellation of reservations by the client must be provided in writing to Makepeace Island. If a cancellation is received less than 60 days prior to the arrival date, the voucher will be forfeited. 7. RATES FOR ADDITIONAL GUESTS AND/ OR NIGHTS Prize includes 2 adults and 2 children under the age of 13 years old staying on Makepeace Island for 2 nights. Additional guests and nights are calculated as follows. Rates and charges are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and inclusive of GST. (A) Island Exclusive Use Charge per day Standard Season (1) or High Season (2) $3,250 (B) Number of Registered Guests Rate per Guest per night + Adults $585 Children (2 12 inclusive) $375 Children under 2 are free. Children 2-12 inclusive pay $375 per night and are applicable in Villas when utilising the 2 nd bedrooms. 8. UNUSED SERVICES No refunds can or will be given in connection with circumstances arising beyond the reasonable control of Makepeace Island i.e. flight delays by airlines/contracted charter companies or client failure to appear for accommodation. No refund can be given for any unused services or early departures. 9. TRAVEL INSURANCE 2 P age

3 We strongly advise that clients take out comprehensive travel insurance to mitigate any loss as a result of cancellations, medical emergencies and not being able to use the Island for the services they have contracted for. 10. PRE-ARRIVAL DEPOSITS FOR SECURITY BOND OR CLIENT REQUESTED EXTRA SERVICES You acknowledge and accept that a bond is required to be paid no later than 14 days prior to your arrival. This acts as both a security bond and for coverage of any extra services utilized during your stay. The value of the bond will be:- a. $AUD 5, per stay for groups of less than 10 guests b. $AUD 10, per stay for groups of 10 or more guests Upon arrival at Makepeace Island a pre-authorization of your credit card is also required and all accounts must be settled prior to your departure from the Island. Further payments may be required if there is loss or damage or additional services exceeding the bond amount. If additional expenses are less than the bond amount, the difference will be refunded to you. 11. CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT Arrival check-in on the Island is from 2:00pm and check-out is by 11:00am on the departure day. If this does not suit your arrangements, we will endeavor to meet your requirements but they will be subject to other bookings or commitments, maintenance, staffing availability or factors beyond our control. 12. TELEPHONE The office phone is available for local calls only. Mobile phone reception is good around the main structures. 13. CAR ACCESS / PARKING Car access is not available onto the Island if self driving. Parking is only available in unsecured public outdoor general use parking locations. 14. LOSS, DAMAGE, INJURY Makepeace Island takes no responsibility for loss of a guest s or day visitor s property, or personal injury. Guests and their day visitors are responsible for loss or damage of property belonging to them and for the damage or loss of property belonging to the property during their stay. Specifically and also for your safety and that of your group and our staff, smoking is not allowed in or around the buildings, boats, bedrooms and other island structures (adequate outside areas are however provided). You understand and acknowledge that guests will be required, prior to arrival, to sign a deed of release and indemnity absolving the company, its employees and representatives from all liability for death or bodily injury or any loss or damage that they may sustain or incur as a result of any aspect of the activities during their stay. 15. NOISE, PARTIES & BEHAVIOUR 3 P age

4 Makepeace Island is for registered guests and their approved Day Visitors only. The property is to be used for short term residential accommodation only. Due to the restrictions imposed upon us by the Sunshine Coast Regional Council, the hosts will advise you on arrival what is deemed permissible in relation to noise and partying. The property may not be used for any commercial purpose or function without the permission of Makepeace Island. If after a warning, your behavior or that of your guests causes damage, danger or annoyance we reserve the right to ask you to vacate the property immediately and be treated as a cancellation inside 30 days. 16. GOVERNING LAWS This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Queensland and the parties hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland; save that the Company shall be entitled to enforce the agreement against the client in any other country in which the client is resident, domiciled or has a place of business. 17.
