1 DATA INCLUDED IN REPORT This Export report uses PATH related data as defined in the August 2014 HUD HMIS Data Standards Manual. Due to substantial changes in the data being recorded, this report should be used only for reporting on clients who entered after 10/1/ 2014 or did not exit the project(s) included in the report until after 10/1/2014. RUNNING THIS REPORT The report is available under the PATH (Projects for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness) category in ART. Like all ART reports the prompts used to run the report determine the data returned. PROMPTS: EDA Provider: DO NOT USE -Default Provider. Choose the project you are running the report to evaluate. This establishes the point of view from which the report is run. Only data that can be seen from the chosen EDA Provider will be included in the report. Choose Provider(s): Choose the project or projects you are reporting on. When reporting on a single project this should be the same as the choice for EDA Provider. If you are reporting on more than one project, both must be visible to the choice for EDA Provider. EDA Provider: If one or more of the providers you are expecting do not show up in the Choose Providers(s) line choose your EDA provider here then go back to the Choose Provider(s) line to choose your providers for the report Start Date: Choose the first day of the first reporting period for this prompt. End Date: This date provides the end date for the first reporting period. Note: because ServicePoint uses both date and time to include all events happening on the last day of the period, you must include the time up to the end of the day. By choosing the End Date Period 1 Plus 1 Day you assure that everything for the last day of the period is included. Page 1 of 6 Updated 3/20/2015

2 EXPORTING DATA This ART report is designed primarily to be used to prepare data to export for use in an external data system. Once the report is run in ART, the result can be exported as a Spreadsheet with multiple tabs or as one or more tables exported in a csv format. The csv export is the preferred method. To export the data as multiple csv tables all at once, choose the Documents button and then Save to my Computer as and choose CSV (all reports). This will export the eight files shown below as a single zipped file. KEY FIELDS: The tables include key fields that can be used to create relationships between the tables. Individually or in combination, these key fields provide the glue for creating and reporting on the data in the multiple tables. The is unique to a client in a specific project. In some cases a client served by more than one project may have more than one. In circumstances where data is shared between more than one project this should not be a major consideration. UniqueID The UniqueID is a calculated ID. It uses a number of factors to allow de-duplicating client counts where the clients have different s but are calculated to be the same person. The Provider Id is the unique identifier for projects. Entry Exit Uid This key is not available in all tables. It identifies the specific project entry. If the same client has more than one entry into a given project, the Entry Exit Uid can be used to identify and create a relationship for data specific to a specific entry into the project. Due to substantial changes in the data being recorded for the pervious standard, this report should be used only for reporting on clients who entered after 10/1/ 2014 or did not exist the project of projects included in the report until after 10/1/2014. There have been changes in how Income, Non-Cash Benefits, Insurance Data, and Disability Data are recorded. Prior to 10/2014 the data for these areas was only recorded if the client had the income, benefit or Disability. In the 2014 HUD data standards, that changed to recording each of a number of categories and if the client was receiving the income or benefit or had the disability. Income Data The Start Date, End Date, and the Receiving Income Source? (Yes No) Combine to determine if a client has specific income at a specific time. Non-Cash Data - The Start Date, End Date, and the Receiving Benefit (Yes No) Combine to determine if a client has specific benefit at a specific time. Disability Data - The Start Date, End Date, and the Disability Determination (Yes No) Combine to determine if a client has specific disability at a specific time. Insurance Data - The Start Date, End Date, and the Covered? (Yes No) Combine to determine if a client has specific insurance coverage at a specific time. PATH Services Data - The Service, and the ServiceCode combine to record specific services and when that service was delivered. The PATH Funded Service field will include the specific PATH funded service as defined in the new HUD standards. This field is able to be recorded in ServicePoint but is not, as of 3/6/2015, reportable in ART. As soon as this becomes available for reporting it will be added to the placeholder field in this export report. Page 6 of 6 Updated 3/20/2015
