2 Rev'd 09/18/17 Page #2 INDEMNITY I (We) also understand and agree that I (We) shall indemnify and hold Knights of Columbus Council #10393, Officers, Agents or Employees, harmless from and against all damages, liabilities, claims and judgments, including costs, attorney s fees and expenses relating thereto, for personal injury to and/or death of any person, and for loss of or damage to any property which arises out of, or is in any way connected with our use of the leased facilities, including any personal injury or death, or loss or damage to property arising out of the use of the leased premises. In the event of a storm or any other act of God, this contract will not apply. ANY VARIANCE OR DEVIATION FROM THIS CONTRACT AND ITS RULES AND REGULATIONS WILL RESULT IN THE DIRECT FORFEITURE OF YOUR DEPOSIT. 3 Rev'd 09/18/17 Page #3 HALL RENTAL REQUIREMENTS 1. NO SMOKING OR TOBACCO products are allowed in the KC Hall. 2. ABSOLUTELY NO BARBEQUE PITS, GAS COOKERS/FRYERS OR OPEN FIRES ON PREMISES. 3. DO NOT remove tables and chairs from building. 4. DO NOT let anyone hang or sit on any of the tables, counter tops in kitchen or on the sinks in the restroom. 5. ABSOLUTELY NO streamers, balloons or any decorations to be attached to ceiling. 6. NO decorations to be attached to walls with tacks, pins, tape, glue, ETC! 7. NO tape of any kind to be adhered to floors. 8. Fry kitchen to be used only for entrance. 9. DO NOT allow youth in the kitchen without proper supervision. 10. NO ALCOHOL ALLOWED ON PREMISES WITHOUT PROPER SECURITY. 11. A Walk through of the Facility is required prior to rental. 12. Wedding ceremonies are not to be performed on premises as part of a wedding reception rental. APPLICATIONS FOR RENTAL 1. In the case of two or more request for rental for the same date, the rental will be on a first-come, first serve basis. 2. Reservations will be effective when completed contracts and deposits are received. 3. All checks must be received by the Knights of Columbus Hall at least three weeks prior to the date of the scheduled events. 4. The security deposit check will be returned to the address on the check or contract within two weeks after the event if there is no physical damage to the property or violations of the contract. 5. Security officer(s) are required for rentals. The number of officers required will depend on the number of guests expected, the serving of alcohol, etc. There is a four hour minimum required for each security officer. 6. Total and final responsibility lies with the person and/or with the head officer of the organization signing the contract. The renter should be sure that all caterers, disc jockeys/musicians, decorators, bartenders, etc., are aware of the rules and regulations of this contract. 7. For safety purposes, rice, birdseed, confetti, sparklers, fireworks, etc., are not to be thrown anywhere on the premises. This includes all buildings, walkways, parking areas or any open spaces. 8. For organizations requesting rental, it shall be that organization s responsibility to provide ample insurance coverage for themselves as well as Knights of Columbus Council # A copy of the policy must be submitted at the time the signed contract and deposits are finalized with the Knights of Columbus #10393.

4 Rev'd 09/18/17 Page #4 1. Make sure air conditioners are turned off. 2. Make sure all lights are turned off. CHECK LIST BEFORE YOU LEAVE 3. Make sure all doors are locked before leaving. 4. Make sure gas valve on gas store is turned OFF. THANK YOU for renting the KC Hall. Your compliance with these rules will help us keep cost down and maintenance up on the building. 1. LARGE HALL: 1) If cancelled before 60 days: Full refund of all monies paid. 2) If cancelled less than 60 days: 2. SMALL HALL; CANCELLATION POLICY We will keep rental fee or deposit. 5 Rev'd 09/18/17 Page #5 ADDENDUM TO EVENT RENTAL AGREEMENT Renter: Event Rental Date: Facility Address: Purpose/Description of Event: KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS TRADEMARKS AND SERVICE MARKS. Renter may only identify the location of the event by using the address of the Facility as set forth above. Renter shall not use or display registered and unregistered trademarks, service marks, and subordinate unit memorabilia of Knights of Columbus, including, without limitation, its name, logos, and emblems (collectively Marks ), in any way, including, but not limited to, in the promotion of the Renter s event or on any website and/or on social media. MISREPRESENTATION. Renter attests, represents and warrants that it has, at all times, honestly and accurately described its intended purpose and use of Corporation s Facility for the event to a duly authorized representative of Corporation and as set out above. If Renter engages in any dishonesty, misrepresentation, deception, or misleading conduct in connection with its rental of Corporation s Facility, or fails to comply with any of the terms herein, Corporation may terminate this Agreement at any time without prior notice and retain Renter s security deposit. The rights, powers and remedies of Corporation are in addition to, and not in substitution of, that which may be available to Corporation. Failure by Corporation to exercise any of its rights, powers and remedies hereunder, or its delay to do so, does not constitute a waiver. For the purposes of the Rental Agreement and this Addendum, Renter includes the undersigned Renter as well as its employees, agents, invitees or any other person who may be at Corporation s Facility for the purposes of the Event. If there is any inconsistency between the provisions of this Addendum and the Rental Agreement, the terms in this Addendum will govern.
