1 OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES: ABC News 20/20 4 Cakes for 40 Seasons Contest NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. Eligibility Guidelines: Contest sponsored by ABC News 20/20 ( 20/20 ) and American Broadcasting Companies, Inc. (collectively, the Sponsors ). Entrants (each, an Entrant, and collectively, the Entrants ) to the 4 Cakes for 40 Seasons contest (the Contest ) must be legal residents of the 48 contiguous United States or the District of Columbia and eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry who are willing and able to accept delivery of the prize at a physical address on or about October 11, P.O. box addresses will not be accepted. Any individuals (including but not limited to employees, consultants, independent contractors, and interns) who have, within the past six months, performed services for Sponsors, any organizations responsible for sponsoring, fulfilling, administering, advertising or promoting the Contest or supplying the prizes, and/or their respective parent, subsidiary, affiliated and successor companies, and immediate family and household members of such individuals, are not eligible to enter or play. Immediate family members shall mean parents, step-parents, children, step-children, siblings, step-siblings, or spouses. Household members shall mean people who share the same residence at least three months a year. Contest Entry Period: The 4 Cakes for 40 Seasons Contest entry period begins at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time ( ET ) on Friday, September 8, 2017 and ends at 11:30 p.m. ET on Friday, September 29, 2017 (the Contest Period ). Sponsors computer is the official clock for the Contest. How to Enter: During the Contest Period, you may enter by navigating the Internet to which is the home page for the Contest (the Contest Site ). There you will find an entry form and instructions to submit an essay of 100 words or less telling what you love about 20/20 and why you think you are one of its super fans. You must also submit a photo or a video up to two (2) minutes in length of yourself showing how you are a fan of 20/20 by following the instructions on the submission page for the appropriate and acceptable file formats. The photo or video may include other people but you must appear in the photo or video. Your Entry must be submitted in English. Sponsors, in their sole discretion, may disqualify any Entry (as defined below) that is deemed inappropriate, illegal or offensive, or otherwise not be considered a valid Entry, and Entrant will not be eligible to win the prize. You warrant and represent that your Entry and all of the materials submitted by you are truthful and original to you (and not based on or derived from any other materials), that you own all necessary rights in and to the essay and photo or video, which are fully transferable,

2 and that you are not subject to any agreement which would interfere with your ability to grant all of the rights to be provided hereunder. Accordingly, you further warrant and represent that: 1) you have the right to enter into the Contest and grant the rights hereunder without the need for permission from or payment to any other party; and 2) the exercise of the rights set forth in these Contest Rules by Sponsors will not violate any third party rights and will not violate any contractual obligations or confidential relationships which you may have to or with any third party. Your photo or video should not contain any third-party logos, brands, products, trademarks or copyrighted material or you may risk disqualification. This means that no one in your photo or video should wear any clothing or hats containing third party logos or trademarks. You may not submit your Entry in any other contest or promotion. Upon submission of your entry together with the completed entry form (collectively, Entry ), you will see a thank you message on your screen. You will not receive a further acknowledgement, and your Entry will not be returned. Free internet access is available at most public libraries. Entries remain the property of Sponsors. All Entries must be submitted in compliance with these Contest Rules, and all incomplete Entries will be disqualified. Proof of entering information at the Contest Site is not considered proof of delivery to or receipt by Sponsors of such Entry. Limit One (1) Entry per person/ address during Contest Period. Sponsors can provide no technical support and accept no responsibility for insuring the receipt or successful submission of your Entry. Mass Entries or Entries generated by a script, macro or use of automated methods will be disqualified. Sponsors are not responsible for failed, partial or garbled computer transmissions, or for technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to electronic malfunction or damage of any network, hardware or software. If for any reason the Contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or other causes that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest, Sponsors reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest. No responsibility is assumed for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, Entries; or any problems or technical malfunctions of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any or electronic Entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web-site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to Entrant s or any other person s computer related to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials from the Contest. In the event of a dispute over an electronic Entry, the prize will be awarded to the owner of the account, not the name on the entry form. Except as otherwise contemplated by these Contest Rules, and to the extent Entrants may otherwise elect at the time of entry, information provided by you for the

3 Contest is subject to Sponsors privacy policy located at Judging: Four (4) winners (each, a Winner, and collectively, the Winners ) will be selected on or about October 4, 2017 and may be announced on-air on 20/20 and/or online on and/or 20/20 social media accounts. Eligible Entries will be judged by designated staff of Sponsors in their sole discretion. The judges will evaluate eligible Entries on the basis of: a) creativity (25%); b) potential for onair appeal (25%); c) compelling nature of story (25%); and d) originality (25%), each of which shall be weighted equally. Decisions of the judges are final as to all Contest-related matters, including, without limitation, in case of a tie. As part of the judging process, judges may contact Entrants to request additional information in assessing potential for on-air appeal and compelling nature of Entrant s story. In the event that a Winner is deemed ineligible, fails to comply with Contest procedures, is not available to participate or claim the prize during specified dates, or does not respond to Sponsors notification of winning within twenty-four (24) hours, then the prize will be forfeited and the potential Winner will be disqualified without compensation of any kind and the first runner-up Entrant will be selected to win the prize, time permitting, or Sponsors reserve the right to terminate the Contest at their sole discretion. In the event of a tie, the Entry with the highest score in the creativity category will be declared a Winner. The Winners will be notified by phone or and will have twenty-four (24) hours to acknowledge the notification of Sponsors selection of his or her Entry as a Winner and confirm availability to accept delivery of the prize at a physical address on or about October 11, Failure to respond to Sponsors within twenty-four (24) hours of the phone or notification will result in disqualification and award of the prize to an alternate Winner. Upon satisfaction of all rules and conditions, a Winner may accept the prize. Limit one (1) prize per Winner for the Contest. Final determination of Winners is always conditional on verification of eligibility and compliance with all Contest Rules and procedures. Prize: Each Winner will receive a custom-designed 20/20-themed cake designed by "Cake Boss" Buddy Valastro for 20/20 s 40 th Season Celebration and baked by Carlo s Bakery that is delivered to the Winner at a physical address on or about October 11, The delivery date is subject to the availability of Buddy Valastro and Carlo s Bakery and other conditions as stated in these Contest Rules. Approximate Retail Value ( ARV ) of the prize is One Hundred Dollars ($100).

4 The ARV of the prize is furnished by the prize supplier. Actual final value of the prize may vary depending upon the prize given, and, under no circumstances will a Winner receive the difference between ARV and actual final value of the prize. The Winners may be announced on-air on 20/20 and/or online on and/or 20/20 social media accounts, and/or Sponsors may make recordings of the Winners receiving the prize, which recordings may appear on-air on 20/20 and/or online on and/or 20/20 social media accounts. Any announcement or appearance on-air or online is subject to availability. Sponsors are not responsible for cancellation or preemption of the Contest or the program or for other circumstances that make it impractical or impossible to fulfill this element of the prize. This element of the prize has no approximate retail value, and if it becomes impractical or impossible to fulfill this element, Sponsors only obligation will be to provide the remainder of the prize, if any. Prize elements may not be separated. All expenses not specifically provided for herein are the Winners sole responsibility. Some restrictions may apply. Federal, state and local taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the Winners, who will each receive an IRS Form 1099 reflecting the final actual value of any prize valued at $600 or more. Winners are not entitled to exchange or transfer prizes or to obtain cash or other substitutes, but Sponsors in their sole discretion may substitute prizes of equal or greater value. Sponsors will not replace any lost, stolen or destroyed prizes. The prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or offer. In the sole discretion of Sponsors, Entrants submitted photos or videos may be featured in videotaped and/or live broadcast segments on 20/20, including promotion thereof, or on or 20/20 social media accounts, or may be used in connection with the marketing and advertising of the Contest or 20/20 by any means or method whether now known or hereafter devised and in all media, including, but not limited to online or social media, worldwide in perpetuity. If featured or used, Sponsors reserve the right to edit any submission materials in their sole discretion. EACH WINNER AGREES THAT THE PRIZE IS PROVIDED AS-IS WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY, REPRESENTATION, OR GUARANTEE, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, IN FACT OR IN LAW, WHETHER NOW KNOWN OR HEREINAFTER ENACTED, RELATIVE TO THE USE OR ENJOYMENT OF THE PRIZE, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ITS QUALITY, MERCHANTABILITY, OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. FURTHER, EACH WINNER AGREES THAT THE RELEASED PARTIES (DEFINED BELOW) ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE IN ANY WAY FOR ANY ADDITIONAL EXPENSES, OMISSIONS, DELAYS, OR RE-ROUTING RESULTING FROM ANY ACTS OF ANY GOVERNMENT OR AUTHORITY. EACH WINNER ACKNOWLEDGES THAT HE OR SHE IS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY

5 ACTIONS, CLAIMS, OR LIABILITIES OF HIS OR HER GUESTS RELATED TO ANY CONTEST- RELATED ACTIVITY. Releases: By participating, Entrants agree to be bound by these Contest Rules and the decisions of Sponsors/judges, which shall be final in all respects. By entering the Contest, Entrants agree to execute in a timely manner and by any deadline set by Sponsors any and all paperwork requested by Sponsors which may include, but is not limited to, background checks and any release forms, prior to any online or on-air appearance of Entrants participating in a videotaped or live broadcast, or use of Entrants photo or video or related materials. All Entries will become the sole property of Sponsors, which may reprint or otherwise exploit the Entries in any manner, in any media, worldwide, in perpetuity, without any further obligation or compensation to the Entrants or any third party. By participating in the Contest and accepting any prize that they may win, Entrants agree to release, defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Sponsors and each of their respective parent, subsidiary, affiliated and successor companies, licensees, advertising and promotion agencies and prize suppliers, and each of their respective officers, directors, agents, representatives and employees, as well as each of their respective successors, representatives and assigns (collectively, the Released Parties ) from, but not limited to, any and all actions, complaints, claims, injuries, liabilities, fees (including reasonable attorney s fees), royalties, costs, losses or damages arising in any manner, directly or indirectly, by whomever or wherever asserted, from a.) Entrants participation in the Contest, b.) Sponsors exercise of the rights granted herein and/or c.) the acceptance, use or misuse of any prize or portion of any prize. By submitting an Entry hereunder, you hereby grant to the Released Parties the right to use and distribute your Entry materials, as well as your likeness, picture, voice, name, biographical material and city and state of residence (all such materials are sometimes collectively referred to as the Materials ) in any and all manner, methods, formats and media now known or hereafter created, including without limitation, all forms of television, radio, internet, cable, satellite, wireless applications, home video products and devices, etc., in connection with the Contest, programming, and in all advertising and promotion for the foregoing, throughout the universe, in perpetuity without further compensation. Sponsors are not obligated to use any of the above mentioned information or Materials, but may do so and may edit such information or Materials, at Sponsors sole discretion, without further obligation or compensation. Except where prohibited by law, Entrants hereby forever waive and relinquish all so-called moral rights (droit moral) now or hereafter recognized in connection with his or her photo or video. Entrants acknowledge that any Entries and/or Materials may be included and/or discussed in a broadcast or online, that such inclusion or discussion may include statements or

6 opinions by the broadcast talent or others about the Entrants, the Entrants appearances and/or the Entries/Materials, and that those statements and opinions may be considered surprising, humiliating, embarrassing, derogatory, defamatory or otherwise offensive or injurious to them, Sponsors employees, their studio or at-home audience and/or other third parties. Entrants release the Released Parties from any actions, claims, injury, loss or damage allegedly caused, directly or indirectly, by any use of the Entries/Materials and/or such statements or opinions made in connection with them during a broadcast or online. To claim prize: (a) a Winner must provide proof of age, identity and residency; (b) a Winner must sign and return required affidavits of eligibility/compliance with these Contest Rules, publicity/liability release and indemnification within forty-eight (48) hours of receipt of such documentation and (c) a Winner must also agree to complete and submit any additional releases, indemnifications and other requisite paperwork as specified at the discretion of Sponsors, all within the time period specified by Sponsors. Miscellaneous; Winner Posting: Void where prohibited. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Sponsors reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and to cancel, terminate, modify and/or suspend the Contest in the event of tampering or other circumstances, including but not limited to acts of God or civil disturbance that render it impractical or impossible to complete or fulfill the Contest as originally planned.
