1 UNSW Business School Global Business Practicum Photo Competition Terms and Conditions 1. Terms and Conditions 1.1. The terms and conditions of entry of the UNSW Business School Global Business Practicum Photo Competition (Competition) comprise the terms and conditions set out below, instructions on how to enter and other details contained within promotional advertisements for the Competition (together, Terms and Conditions) By entering the Competition, you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions. 2. Competition Organiser 2.1. The Competition organiser is The University of New South Wales, ABN of Kensington, NSW, 2052 (UNSW Sydney) through its Business School. 3. Who can enter? 3.1. Subject to paragraphs 3.2 to 3.4 below, you are eligible to enter the Competition if you are a UNSW student enrolled in COMM3020 Global Business Practicum (Course) If you are not over the age of eighteen (18) at the time you enter the competition, a parent/legal guardian must enter the Competition on your behalf Employees of UNSW Sydney and their immediate family members are ineligible to enter. (By employees we mean full-time and part-time employees, employed on either a permanent or casual basis. By immediate family members we mean children, siblings, partner and parents of the employee) You must have an Instagram account and use it to follow the UNSWBusiness profile on Instagram to enter the Competition. 4. How to enter 4.1. 2 Jakarta 10 January 3 February Yangon 10 January 6 February 10 January 2018 Midnight 13 February To enter the Competition, you must Post on Instagram at least one inspirational photo that reflect your favourite cultural experience while studying the Course during the applicable Competition Period using the and #gounswbusiness Make any necessary account settings on Instagram so that any entry will be public to allow the entry to be judged; and Attend the Course Debrief Session in S Photos posted outside the Competition Period or not completed in accordance with these terms and conditions will not be valid entries and will not be eligible to win Entry in the Competition is free. You are responsible for any costs associated with entering the Competition, which may include costs associated with accessing the internet Incomplete entries will be deemed invalid and excluded from the Competition Entries which UNSW Sydney, in its sole discretion, considers defamatory, racist, otherwise unlawful or offensive will be deemed invalid and excluded from the Competition including but not limited to: Photos showing any use of smoking, drugs, alcohol and nudity are prohibited; All photo posts must be culturally sensitive, show respect and in no way demean religious sites, religions or government bodies in any way; or Photos should not include persons under 18 years of age UNSW Sydney reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and the eligibility of entrants and to disqualify any entrant who does not meet the eligibility criteria and to exclude an entry that is not in accordance with the Terms and Conditions All decisions about the eligibility of entrants and the validity of entries made by UNSW Sydney will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into. 5. Selection and notification of winners 5.1. The Competition is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winner. There will be one winning team only There will be one winning entry for each Course city, that is Hong Kong, Yangon, Jakarta and Shanghai Each of the 4 winning entries will be chosen based on the creative merit of their entry and ability to attract positive social media engagement (post comments, tags and likes) Each of the four winning entries will be chosen by a panel of judges appointed in the sole discretion of UNSW Sydney. 2

3 5.5. The judges decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into The winning entries will be announced and prizes awarded at the Course Debrief Session in S If you submitted an entry that is selected as a winner and you do not attend the Course Debrief Session, you will not have satisfied the entry requirements and be ineligible to win the prize. In these circumstances, an alternative winning entry will be selected. 6. The prize 6.1. The prize for each winning entry will be a Westfield voucher valued at $ The prize winners will be responsible for all costs associated with collecting and using the prize The prize is not redeemable for cash or an alternative prize If you win, you must collect the prize at the Course Debrief Session and you cannot nominate a person to collect the prize on your behalf Prizes will not be mailed out The entitlement to a prize is not transferable In the event that for whatever reason, any prize described above is unavailable, UNSW Sydney reserves the right to substitute for the unavailable prize a prize of equal or greater value UNSW Sydney gives no warranty as to the condition or use of any prize. 7. Unclaimed prizes 7.1. In the event that any prize is not claimed by 5:00pm on Friday 30 March UNSW Sydney reserves the right to award any unclaimed prize to another valid entry. The selection of an alternate recipient for the prize will be determined in the sole discretion of UNSW Sydney and no correspondence will be entered into. In such circumstances, the new winner/s will be notified by Limitation of liability 8.1. In the case of the intervention of any outside act, circumstances or event which prevents or significantly hinders UNSW Sydney s ability to proceed with the competition on the dates and in the manner described in these Terms and Conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, or act of terrorism, UNSW Sydney may in its absolute discretion cancel the competition and UNSW Sydney will have no liability to any entrant or any other person as a result of such cancellation To the maximum extent permitted by law, UNSW Sydney excludes its liability in respect of the Competition and these Terms and Conditions. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing. UNSW Sydney will not be liable for any misadventure, accident, injury, loss, claim or expense (including but not limited to a claim for infringement of any copyright, trade mark or other intellectual property right, or any claim of a similar nature) that may occur as a result of or in connection with an entrant s entry into the Competition. 3

UNSW Sydney is not responsible in any manner whatsoever for any problems or any financial costs incurred, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participants or any other persons related to or resulting from participation in this competition. 9. Intellectual Property 9.1. All entries remain the property of each entrant By entering the competition, you warrant to and for the benefit of UNSW Sydney that: your entry is your own original work, is not copied from any other person s work and does not infringe the copyright, trade mark or other intellectual property rights of any person; and you have the consent of any identifiable person included in your entry to publish your entry on Instagram, submit the photo to the Competition and for UNSW Sydney to publish your entry online or in any promotional materials By entering the Competition, you consent and agree to UNSW Sydney using and reproducing your entry. for an unlimited period and without any payment to you, in any media now known or hereafter devised for the purpose of promoting UNSW Sydney, and you grant UNSW Sydney a licence of all of your relevant intellectual property rights for this purpose. You acknowledge that your entry may be reproduced online, and/or in hard copy in UNSW Sydney promotional materials. 10. Privacy You acknowledge that UNSW Sydney may collect, store and use personal information in order to conduct the Competition and for related purposes referred to in paragraph 10.3 below, and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, prize suppliers and, as required, to Sydney regulatory authorities By entering the Competition, you consent to the collection, storage, disclosure and use of your personal information for the purposes identified in these Terms and Conditions of Entry in accordance with the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (NSW) and all other applicable privacy legislation By entering the Competition, you acknowledge and agree that UNSW Sydney may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised by you in writing in accordance with paragraph 10.4, collect, store, disclose and use all personal information collected by UNSW Sydney about you in connection with this Competition for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes.
