Enroll for Disability and Life Insurance Liberty Mutual Insurance GROUP BENEFITS TopBuild is pleased to provide you and your eligible family members with benefits to provide financial protection. We are proud to partner with Liberty Mutual Insurance to offer group disability insurance and term life insurance. SM Disability Insurance If you became sick or injured and were unable to work tomorrow, how would you pay for your family s groceries, utilities, and gas or car payments? Short-term and long-term disability insurance provides partial income replacement if you are unable to work due to a qualifying illness or injury so that you have money to support yourself and your family. The TopBuild short-term disability plan will pay 60 percent of your salary if you re unable to work for a short period of time (typically less than six months) due to a qualified non-work-related condition, illness, injury, or maternity leave. If your condition extends beyond that period, short-term disability ends and it becomes long-term disability. The long term disability will continue to pay the employee 60 percent of your salary as long as the condition continues, until the age of 65. Life Insurance What would happen to your dependents if you passed away and they no longer had your income to rely on? Life insurance can help your family or beneficiary maintain their standard of living, pay for your funeral and final expenses, help make rent or mortgage payments, and secure retirement for your spouse. In the event of your or a covered dependent s death, group term life insurance pays a lump sum benefit to the beneficiary. You can purchase coverage in the amount 1 to 5 times your annual earnings up to $1,000,000. With the right amount of life insurance, you ll know that your family s financial obligations will be covered. Open Enrollment All active full time salaried and full time hourly installer/warehouse employees are automatically enrolled in disability and basic AD&D coverages. Only active full-time installer/warehouse employees must make elections to add the long-term disability benefit during the open enrollment period. In addition, all hourly and salaried employees have the option to elect optional life insurance coverages during open enrollment.
