3 Who We Serve OSACH has 7 Rate Groups and serves more than 6,500 clients. OSACH Clients Total number of clients: 6,622 6,575 Schedule 1 clients 47 Schedule 2 clients Schedule 2 rate group experienced the most significant change in September 2008 when a system wide alignment occurred. 9 Key Changes in Approach 2009 Road to Zero Strategy Previous years based on a single year s experience Now look at multi year patterns Triggers based on patterns of risk will bring the most appropriate partner to the workplace 9
10 2009 Road to Zero Strategy The MoL could select an organization if: There has been a fatality Higher than average WSIB claim frequency Higher than average claims costs in Previous MoL compliance orders 10
11 2009 Road to Zero Strategy Employers with high claim costs can expect to be contacted by WSIB WorkWell or Disability Prevention staff 11
12 2009 Road to Zero Strategy New WSIB Service Delivery Model Return to Work Specialist works at a case level assisting injured workers in a safe and timely return to work. The Case Manager will ensure a timely referral. The Disability Prevention Specialists (DPS) Provides service directly to the employer within their areas of expertise and/or connect them with other WSIB services or health and safety system partners 12
