1 JOHNSON COUNTY OLD SETTLERS ASSOCIATION PARADE RULES AND REGULATIONS All vehicles must have a number, issued by the Parade Chairman, in order to be in the parade. All vehicles NOT in the parade must be removed from the assembling area no later than 8:00AM. The driver of the vehicle must be within 25 of the parked vehicle in case it must be moved. If the driver is not available to move the vehicle or the vehicle is not removed by 8:00AM it will be towed at the owners expense. No entrant is allowed to change their number or their position in the parade unless it has been authorized and OK d by the Parade Chairperson PRIOR to the parade and at that time a new number will be issued IF available. NO ENTRY will be allowed to SLOW OR STOP the forward motion of the parade. Insurance- ***See Separate Sheet Handouts- There will be NO THROWING of anything during the parade. All handouts must be pre-approved prior to the day of parade. NO GUM allowed. NO SMOKING will be allowed in the assembly area or during the parade. Operators of ALL MOTORIZED vehicles must have a valid drivers license and must stay with the vehicle at all times prior to the parade. Units not permitted- * Entries representing controversial groups or issues. * Entries carrying or under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any other substance controlled by law and not taken pursuant to medical advice. Terms of participation- The acceptance, order of appearance, and number of units in the parade are the sole discretion of the Old Setters Parade committee whose decision in these matters shall be final. There will be a Parade Marshals along the parade route to enforce these rules. Anyone that is found to be in violation will not be allowed back.

2 The Johnson County Old Settlers Association hereby disclaims any and all liability for injury, of whatever nature whatsoever, sustained by any participant in, marshal of, advisor for, sponsors of or persons associated with the Old Settlers Parade. Through signing the application, the applicant, on behalf of himself/herself/itself and all persons in any way associated with his/her/its entry, agrees to participate in the parade under such condition, and hereby waives and forever discharges the Johnson County Old Settlers Association from any liability for such injury. The Old Settlers Committee shall be the sole responsible for the interpretation of the aforementioned rules. We want to keep the experience of the Old Settlers event enjoyable and safe for all. 5 INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS ALL participants will be required to have a minimum of $500,000 in Liability insurance. We also require that each entry give us a CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE listing Johnson County Old Settlers Association as a CERTIFICATE HOLDER. ***We DO NOT except copies of insurance cards. Participants may be added to our User Liability Insurance through our insurance carrier at the rate of - Walking units- $45, vehicles- $70 and Equestrian- $110. Units that will be using a personal car or truck, can contact their Insurance provider to get a Certificate of Insurance issued. If you are unable to provide us with the required insurance documentation you will not be allowed to participate.
