4 1) Introduction Terms and Conditions The Ceylon Shipping Corporation Ltd., (hereinafter called and referred to as CSC) the National Carrier of Sri Lanka is a wholly owned Limited liability Company of the Government of Sri Lanka engage in ship-owning, ship operating and shipping related ancillary services in Sri Lanka, The CSC placed an order to build a bulk carrier of 63,600 DWT namely Mv. Ceylon Breeze at Weihai Ship Yard in China Mv. Ceylon Breeze is scheduled to be delivered on 20 th January, 2016 at the Weihai Ship Yard in China. As the owner of the subject vessel CSC intends to obtain the Hull & Machinery cover (H&M) for which quotations from a reputed insurance companies, brokers and correspondents in the London Market by calling sealed quotations. The interested parties who wish to submit their quotations are advised to read and understand the following terms and conditions for calling quotations before submitting their respective quotation. 2) Invitation for Quotations The Chairman of the Tender Board of Ceylon Shipping Corporation Ltd., is hereby invite to submit quotations from insurance companies with reinsurance in the London Market for Hull & Machinery Cover for Mv. Ceylon Breeze. The prospective parties shall submit only a single quotation and alternative quotations will not be permitted in this regard. 3) Collection / Inspection of the terms and conditions document Any prospective party could collect the terms and conditions from the Head Office, No: 27, Sir Razik Fareed Mw, Colombo 01, Sri Lanka with free of charge or could be downloaded from CSC website 4) Submissions of Quotations The duly signed quotations shall be submitted under sealed cover and marked as H&M Cover for Mv. Ceylon Breeze on the left hand top corner of the envelope addressed to Chairman Tender Board Ceylon Shipping Corporation Ltd., No: 27, Sir Razik Fareed Mawatha, Colombo 01,Sri Lanka from 01 st January 2016 to 11 th January, 2016 at hrs local time. The quotations will be open immediately after closing at hrs local time. A representatives from prospective parties could be present at the time of opening the quotations. The sealed quotations may either be dispatched by registered post to the address given above or can deposit in the Tender Box kept under ground floor of above mentioned address.

7 7) Expected services from the successful party 1) To issue cover notes promptly and correctly to assure the maximum protection of assets and liabilities of the ship on time 2) Issue certificate and related documents as required from time to time 3) Answer quarries daily and liaise with relevant parties if an when required 4) Provide professional advice on all maritime insurance related frontiers such as new developments, market trends, latest information, new insurance coverage and change of laws and its implications on insurance 5) Brokers and correspondents to provide update information of Insurer s ratings in case of a down grade of rating and promptly provide advise 6) Around the clock contactability and appoint a designated person for coordination person 7) Arranged training for CSC staff if required 8) Promptly attend to claims and provide necessary guidance to obtain claims without much delay 9) Send newsletters - circulars updating piracy kidnap incident & JWC / excluded areas 8) Evaluation criteria of quotations as applicable for prospective parties 1) The lowest quotation with maximum coverage 2) Length of service in the industry 3) The rating should be above standard & poor BBB or AN Bese-B+ 9) Clarification (s) Further clarification(s) if required on the Terms and Conditions stipulated in this document and more details of the vessel can be obtained sending an to sujatha@cscl.lk and dmlni@cscl.lk no plea of lack of information or insufficient information will be entertained after closing of receiving quotations. 10) Power to accept or reject quotations The Tender Board of Ceylon Shipping Corporation reserves its right (1) to reject or accept any quotation without assigning the reason(s) at any time prior to acceptance of the quotation and (2) to request for further details if required for the evaluation purpose. The decision of the Tender Board is final and conclusive in this process. 11) Cost of preparation of quotations The CSC will not reimburse any cost incurred in the preparation and submitting of quotations.

8 12) Governing Law The calling of quotations and the Terms and Conditions mentioned in this document shall govern by the laws of Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka under Sri Lankan jurisdiction.
